One or two posters on St. John's board are saying they didn't get Diop. Would be a huge miss for them if true.
Lol. Love the Bouk handle.

I wonder if this is one last money squeeze to try and get Repole to give him an even more ridiculous offer.I can dig that. I usually root for Gonzaga.

Shocked that UK doesn't already have one
Looks bad for the BE - why a kid would want to go to Spokane to play in the new Pac12 makes little sense. It couldn't have been the $$.Just like last year, St. John’s misses on a critical position and needs to improvise.
Now I believe Gonzaga will be very good no doubt, but losing a recruit to Gonzaga seems like a bad look especially when St. John’s should have the clear advantage in this era.
That said if we can’t have Diop, glad it wasn’t Pitino
Same issue with Duke, how could these kids be possibly cool with taking smaller roles in crowded rosters? Wasn’t it established most will try and go for PT as soon as possible, even money included? They'll have that as well at PG & SG.
My guess is McCoy comes in behind McKenney and starts sophomore year. Reed feels like a backup. Cosby would be their three the following year. Can't see him going with a freshman starter anywhere.
This only becomes an issue for me if St. John’s was the only other BE team expected to compete. The teams with massive portal hauls need to take advantage and pull their weight.Looks bad for the BE - why a kid would want to go to Spokane to play in the new Pac12 makes little sense. You're so impossibly ridiculous.Looks bad for the BE - why a kid would want to go to Spokane to play in the new Pac12 makes little sense. It couldn't have been the $$.
Have you seen how Gonzaga uses their bigs the past few years? It makes plenty of sense from a basketball perspective before you even get to the money.Looks bad for the BE - why a kid would want to go to Spokane to play in the new Pac12 makes little sense. It couldn't have been the $$.

I guess he takes on the Ike role. Still hard to fathom opting for what is effectively a mid major and the P12. Constructive post - unlike the other guy, who struts around here as if he holds some holy position on the board.Have you seen how Gonzaga uses their bigs the past few years? Gonzaga hasn't been a midmajor in like 20 years. Before his season ending injury Gonzaga ran their offense through Huff and Ike in a dbl big setup, offensively they're more creative than StJ.I guess he takes on the Ike role. "Yeah, but what if there were."There's nothing on him going to Michigan.
Diop's agent has had something like 10 guys play for Gonzaga. He clearly has trust with Mark FewLooks bad for the BE - why a kid would want to go to Spokane to play in the new Pac12 makes little sense. It couldn't have been the $$.
