Entering the portal - 2026

Panic time. I'm panicking. Are we all panicking?
I think we just want to see some visits set for some of the transfers. I haven't seen anything yet and especially at Center where we have a clear need and none of the remaining decisions impact bringing in players there. We can offer a lot of playing time there.

Tom Moore is on this stuff during the season. There's no way we weren't doing the work behind the scenes before the portal opened. There's also no way they didn't see the possibility of Reibe not returning.
There were reports we were in on Hines and some PFs right away. I do think the staff thought they had a chance to retain Reibe (if not a sure thing), so when he did leave combined with the skyrocketing center market costs it bumped up the urgency of the center position.

No doubt, we all want to see something. But overreacting based on nothing at all is pretty tiresome. We all know there's stuff happening behind closed doors

They are going to have nobody back next year. I feel bad for Shaheen Holloway. The school doesn't have his back with money support for sure. I expect he will eventually go somewhere else to coach.

Seton Hall just got a commitment from Simon Wilcher, former St. John’s and Texas guard.

correct, Hurley usually gets the right fit. In the meanwhile the Big East picked up commitments today: Georgetown gets Jaland Lowe PG from Kentucky, Seton Hall gets combo guard Simeon Wilcher from Texas, and Nova gets Kwame Evan’s forward from Oregon.

Love that for both Wilcher and Halloway. Could be a good fit as Wilcher needed a real home and he has a lot of talent for Halloway to work with.

Ville & UK battling it out for who can blow the most NIL and set the market in the most ridiculous fashion. Dodo's who love hoops and are willing to open their pocketbook are hysterival.

Not that familiar with some of these big dollar transfers…

I don’t recall seeing many of them playing in the NCAA tournament rounds that matter. 😁
