Entering the portal - 2026

Kentucky would be desperate enough to do it - no one can look at Hurley and see why he's winning, and the fact that building culture and a system is how it's being done. One year mercenaries that play for pay, don't care about what jersey they're wearing, aren't how you win.
It’s working for Michigan.

Illinois and Cuse on his original list? Illinois feels like it would be a great fit since their backcourt is clearing out and they have their bigs back.

Feels like it's going to be a full CBB reshuffle.

Just curious-Who was UConn's lead recruiter on Mingo?

Reibe is already on the team.

We need a starting caliber 4. I don’t think we’re going to be paying big $$ for a 5 with Reibe here
Compare Reibe’s performance this year as a backup to Reed’s last year as a backup and Clingans in 23 as a backup. Reibe has not locked down the starting C spot. We need a transfer C that can average at least 20mpg to split the time with him. We also currently need a starting PF and a backup PG.

Completely agree with this, why is why it’s not going to be a Tier 1 center in the portal. Those guys are going to go for more $$ than what we’ll pay (since we have Reibe) and to schools where they are the guaranteed starter.

He’s been fine. He’s a freshman.

Surprised a Golden big is on the way out, but I think bigs are trying to capitalize. Could mean Condon and Chen are staying..

Reibe will be pretty good. Changing for the sake of changing is not a good idea here.

What is Bringing in a transfer C to compete with him changing other than the ceiling of next years team? We need another C no matter what so we might as well get one that can play 20 mpg

Lol. Dude people have said it multiple times but I'll say it again, you need to look into what you're posting a bit more. I didn't even have to look into "Brody Sheetz" to know that was a fake account.
Sorry, posting it more for the Sherrill news.

Money doesn't grow on trees, so tying up big dollars in two centers is not realistic. Also, Reibe will probably view bringing in another center as an invitation to leave.

Don’t you know, nobody ever improves from year 1 to year 2 or even year 3.
lol is this a serious comment?

Yeah we should all expect/hope he improves as a sophomore. The issue is what he’s shown recently, especially relative to our last 2 backup Cs that were elevated to starters, and whether he will improve enough to be a reliable starter on a championship caliber team next season.
