I really like his fit at all of these schools honestly. Good for him. Hope he picks Oregon State or WVU, though.

He’d fit right into Huggins 1-3-1. He’s a lanky dude.

I would like to know why Hurley wasn't interested. Maybe too much overlap with Sid? idk

I mean, many of the transfers being thrown out there don't seem to be much better, if at all.

If I had to guess, it's because this kid takes up a scholarship for 4 years, while the transfers only for 1-2 years. Thus, he's taking a bit of a flier on this year given that the landscape is pretty dry (though it keeps options open in case of a late decommit or reclassifier) and gives himself more space to recruit in following years.

It's a fair point. Megaclasses can be ok, but ideally you'd like to spread things out a bit. He has a nice list of interested schools. We'll know more in the weeks to come. If Hurley can land a top rated SG, we'll know he needed the ship. If he targets a grad transfer, maybe he wanted to spread things out. At this point we're just throwing against the wall.

If you're talking about Carr, he was a freshman. Add his redshirt year, and he can have a scholarship for 4 years potentially.

Underwhelming list of suitors. Matthews will rue the day of leaving UConn!

I still think Emmitt is underrated with a high ceiling and I have mentioned that to whom it may concern.
Good for him. Sooo now about those actually going to Uconn

Chief thank you for your reviews on Matthews and I agree. Pretty funny how some just find the need to reject a subject many are still interested in, basically where this kid lands. He wanted to be a Husky what's so tough about reading about him even though he's moved on? Hope you people aren't answering the NBA, best pizza or beer threads because it has nothing to do with kids who ARE coming to UConn (as if there hasn't been enough about Adams, Smith and Yakwe?).

We also have always done this in the past with the recruits we missed on but who wanted to come here. People mentioned Bonzi Colson and B Brown, etc., for awhile.
