Anybody else watch DD dribbling 2 balls in warm ups. So it is funny watching her traveling during this game.

The press is pretty much Syracuse's identity and it'd take a lot for them to waver from it. They lead the nation in turnovers forced and turnover margin. They just got a turnover off the press and a bucket in transition.
Thanks, and that makes sense. I guess I didn't realize it was such a big part of what they do. You're right that it's starting to affect the game significantly.

Check-out Mercedes Russell
She takes off a lot of plays off
doesn't fight for position
When she's working she's formidable.

That old turnover bug biting them Lady Vols again

Wouldn't mind playing Washington so we can have a battle of the Huskies!

I really don't care who wins the Syracuse/Tennessee game because UConn has a bone to pick with BOTH of them. If we do, it will be for the national championship.

Love watching the 538 win predictor flip around a bit during this game.

Syracuse has nothing to lose in this game. They've not been this far, so anything beyond this point is a bonus. TN, on the other hand, has a lot of pressure as it's always assumed that they will be in contention. I'd rather be an Orange vs a Vol right now. (cannot believe I just wrote that!)

If you read any of my posts recently, you'll remember I said there's ALWAYS a dark house in every NCAA tournament. This year's tournament being no exception. It took a while for them to emerge. They came out of the shadows into the light this past Friday when they knocked off Kentucky in the first round of the Lexington Regional. Even ol' Carnac didn't see this one coming. I've thrown in the towel. I've packed everything up, put away all of my soothsaying tools of the trade (crystal balls, tea leaves, rabbits feet, envelopes, etc.) for the season. Because if I were any good, I should have seen this coming.

This year's dark horse and Cinderella team is coach Mike Neighbors' Washington Huskys (if nothing else, you've got to like their mascot) . Washington becomes the first No. 7 seed to reach the semifinals since the Minnesota Golden Gophers' lead by Lindsay Whalen and Janel McCarville did it more than a decade ago. To say they were a long shot to reach the final 4 is an understatement.

They were given a 2% chance of reaching the final 4, or a 98% chance of NOT to. The most amazing thing about Washington punching their ticket to Indy, is that they finished the regular season unranked in the final top 25 coach's poll.

Washington will play the winner of the regional final between No. 4 Syracuse and No. 7 Tennessee in a national semifinal next Saturday at Bankers Life Field house in Indianapolis. Washington lost to Syracuse 66-62 on a neutral court in late November. Congratulations to the Washington Huskys. How many of you had Washington to come of of the Lexington Regional? Stand up and be recognized.

Not that it matters, but FiveThiryEight had them at <1% chance of making the final four. Of the four teams playing today they had the lowest percentage of making the final four. But here they are!

Syracuse is 6-13 3 pts.

I take back what I said about neither team impressing me.

If Syracuse shoots like that against us, with our inability to defend the 3-point line, we could be vulnerable to a miracle.

I like a good pair of cufflinks as much as the next guy but Mr Quentin's shirt sleeve hubcaps take the cake. And why aren't they orange?

Why don't they face guard DeShield? She's the only one who can do any real long term damage in the Tenn Offense. And she doesn't work hard enough to get open if she's being closely duarded.

Sykes behavior in this game is so weird. Got an and 1 and spent the time before her free throw chewing out her teammates? She missed the free throw.

Syracuse just got saved by the 3rd QTR buzzer. Pretty awful final minute.

My two least favorite women's programs. I genuinely don't know who to pull for. I want to beat both of them -- and wish we could in the same FF.

I say "least favorite women's programs" because the TN men are awful and not worthy of my emotional energy. (-:

Remember way back when UT fans talked about how much better the SEC was than the Big East and now its one of the basement Big East teams drilling them?

Russell goes from a career high game to just 5 shot attempts so far.

It's funny, the TENN fans are whining about the refs but they've got 17 FT's to Cuse's 7.

Looks like Syracuse is going to get the win. Not a great game from TN, but at least they made it deeper than most thought they would.
