The thing that really sucks is that the last game was her best of the season. Now that momentum may be interrupted.that's a shame...........I have a feeling Geno is going to pound the ball inside due to St John's lack of size.......now two bigs down and one who is glued to the bench........looks like Blanca is going to log some big minutes........
They are due 3 hrs before game time.I guess the Availability Reports aren't posted on the Big East site on the day of the game because there's none posted now.
Thanks, you are correct. This morning today's games are listed and the reports aren't expected like you said...3 hours before game time. They are due 3 hrs before game time.
WTH...does the practices include playing a game of Dodge ball?I’m trying to envision how a 6’5” player gets hit in the head with a basketball, hard enough to keep her out of a game. 🧐
She was playing defense - the last game. In a battle for a rebound, Jana took a ball off the head.I'm sorry, but this continuing pattern of practice-related injuries is unlike anything that I have read about at other schools. It's time for Geno and staff to make hockey style helmets and masks mandatory at team practices. It's great supporting the very best team in women's CBB, but at what cost? Maybe we should implement a bounce pass only and no contact rule or get an exception from the NCAA to the 15 scholarship limit.
3 ball off the front of the rim will do it. ask me how I know???I’m trying to envision how a 6’5” player gets hit in the head with a basketball, hard enough to keep her out of a game. 🧐
No idea what kind of knee "inflammation" Ice is dealing with, however if we go back a year ish ago, Patterson had been dealing with patellar tendonitis (not fun), and after attempting to solve the issue with rehab, she had to have surgery to fix it. So, for Ice's situation, it's a day to day thing (no matter what it is), and UConn isn't going to tell us much more than that.Different but related. What's Ice's status? Is she remaining out for an extended period or moving more toward day-to-day? She played in two games in November. Thanks.
In my rec volleyball days, I got hit in the head at least three times by untouched spikes. I had to come out of, or at least stop play each time, though I never had a concussion. And a basketball is more than twice the weight of a volleyball. though not travelling as fast.3 ball off the front of the rim will do it. ask me how I know???

Thank you for adding some. You are so kindAhhh, THAT explains some of your posts.

That's a big assumption to make considering the number of programs in D1. We don't get visibility to all that happens within these programs and even injury reports are vague when available.I'm sorry, but this continuing pattern of practice-related injuries is unlike anything that I have read about at other schools. Yuck? A tad harsh…Yuck! It seems like it'll be Serah for 20-25 minutes and small ball for the rest of the game for a while.
Maybe, but I was disappointed that we missed out on Jana building on her fine performance in the last game.Yuck? A tad harsh…
