You haven't lived unless you've walked past the Homer Babbage Library when it's -2 degrees with a 40 mph wind out of the north.
Or watching people trying to walk up to Hilltop when it’s like 10° and into the wind. You pretty much have to run as hard as she can just stand still.

You've never been on a chair lift at Killington when it's 0 degrees with 30+mph winds. That's the coldest place on earth I've ever been.
Especially when you are on a chair lift and it stops running for 30+ minutes for no apparant reason. Been there done that... Ugh!

Playing devils advocate here - He's from the dreaded AAC, people here were saying that Josh Carlton making the 1st team all AAC doesn't mean he's good - it's the AAC - Newton only made the 2nd team so he most be marginal at best.

Now my real take - he is a good player and definitely worth a close look but is he slotted as the PG? can he QB a team as his primary job or is a score first guard? If DH is looking for a SG, I say go for it. If he is looking for a PG maybe keep looking but either way, the kid can play
Thank God you’re not our head coach

I’ve been to Killington.

It’s cold if you’re a candy ass. It’s not Storrs in January cold.
Sorry, it's a lot worse.... But Storrs is still one of the worst when walking from North campus to Von de Maden for Psych 101 in January in a wind/snow storm

I watched the episode where they go to the water park with my kid last night. I’ve probably seen it ten times but when frank goes down the dry water slide I was howling like I had never seen it before.
Simple thing please simple minds

Is there a Plan B for Newton, or does Hurley have to close him? I think I am one of the next ones on the list if Hurley doesn’t get Newton.

Probably the dude from Charlotte. Seems like a stud but inhibits our ability to play small effectively on D. Or the kid from S Carolina. And then we are after a few shooters.

If Hurley was comfortable with those 2 guys then they would still be on the roster and they would be slated for getting all the PG minutes. The fact that he told them they have no minutes here next season and are not being given the keys to the program says everything you need to know about what the staff thinks of their talent level and ability to contribute.

Hurley probably knew he had to get 2 better guards 6 months ago when he saw how these 2 guys looked in games.
Did Hurley really tell them that? Where did that come from?

Now, that would be some kind of race.

See who runs up the hill the fastest.

And the prize is?

I haven't seen or read a Hurley, Gaffney or Sool quote anywhere that told anyone what the conversation was about. So that would suggest that it is made up most likely to help justify someone's thoughts on the matter. Could it be possible or even likely, yes. Has it been proven as fact, not in this thread.

Try Jay Peak. Feels like that in April.
Top of the tram at Jay is winter hell. Ive never been on top of Mount Washington in winter but I have summited Marcy in winter. Jay comes close at times.

I've been a big fan of getting Newton from the get go. Even linked a video of Juice Newton to show my approval.

RIT's campus is the coldest place on land from September-May.

Backed up by meteorologists.

The town has Infinity Music Hall and other attractions , probably best seen not in the winter.

My sister in law has a place in Sandisfield, MA, immediately over the border from Norfolk and Colebrook. As soon as I exit Route 8 in Winsted, the temp starts dropping and it doesn’t stop once I hit Norfolk. Bigger snow accumulations too.

Try Binghamton. It sits in a valley by the Susquehanna River in Vestal. The cold arrives in late October and doesn’t leave til May. Often colder than the Air Conditioner Dome/University of Southern Canada, 60 miles to the north.
