I don't be;ieve he officially transferred, he just sneaks on campus from time to time.@Dove is a Faber College transfer!?
Knowledge Is Good@Dove is a Faber College transfer!?
Not a question of badly in the sense that he is a difference maker like Mingo. I just prefer to have a strength player in the front court like Sanogo, Tarris, Kirk King. Jeff Adrien, Toraino Walker, that can enforce his will in the paint. Tristan seems like that type of player to me. I've seen him be very effective, and I would think we would be well positioned to successfully recruit him.Curious why you want Reed. You hand wave all the other recruits ranked much higher as just a piece but want Reed that badly?
That's fair, definitely would like a guy like that next season. I just think the portal is where that's coming from, especially when we'll only have sophomore Reibe as a returning big man.Not a question of badly in the sense that he is a difference maker like Mingo. I don’t disagree, but it’s funny how that’s become our (high school, at least) recruiting philosophy. Not 3 years ago, most here would agree that our sweet spot was 30-70 or so, find the high four stars that were either underranked or OK waiting their turn. That's fair, definitely would like a guy like that next season. I'm not expecting UConn to really target anyone in Reed's range outside of very unique circumstances. Those 40-80 range recruits are a tough sell in that they're good enough to think they deserve minutes, but not good enough to actually get minutes as a freshman at UConn. Which leads to a lot of wasted development and transfers
Depends how you look at it.
He was the best NBA player on that team. And he was the best comp for Mingo to compare himself.
Newton was a 1st team AA.I’d argue Steph was the best player on that team. He simply did what was asked of him to win. Spot on though about culture. It’s rare to have a kid as special and talented as Steph was to accept and embrace the role that he did. Equally rare is to have parents accept that same role. Special kid, special family.
And won the Bob Cousy award as the country’s best point guard. And MVP of the final 4. And yet some people here tend to overlook all this. I say his number should be retired. Ray Allen was a great player and a tremendous pro but Tristen had a better college careerNewton was a 1st team AA.
If Hurley decided to hand the keys to Steph he would've been the best freshman PG we've seen in college since John WallNewton was a 1st team AA.
Fixed it for you.He didn't want to let seven years of college go down the drain.
OKIf Hurley decided to hand the keys to Steph he would've been the best freshman PG we've seen in college since John Wall
Hurley and UConn put Tristen up on the wall like the next day which I thought was really impressive. We don't win either of those championships without him.And won the Bob Cousy award as the country’s best point guard. And MVP of the final 4. And yet some people here tend to overlook all this. What are the chances of a 2nd year Rrezon Elezay being a force in the paint? Could not tell too much from the tape we saw, he moves reasonably well, some good timing on blocks, and good size for sure. There are varying opinions on here on why Hurley brought him in, be curious to know what his upside really looks like. Not a question of badly in the sense that he is a difference maker like Mingo. Not immediately discarding or disputing, but their are two glaring characteristics here, a single author and Frontiers press. The study may be good but those factors leave me leery. Frontiers is likely the only press that would publish it, but that is an interest thing. For something like this, I'd imagine it was conducted by an assistant professor, which means the data should have been reviewed or at least collected another person. (Didn't read the M&M, so apologies if this was adressed.)![]()
Mechanics of the Jump Shot: The "Dip" Increases the Accuracy of Elite Basketball Shooters - PubMed
The present study assessed the mechanics of the basketball jump shot to determine whether or not the "dip" increased shot accuracy. There remained a debate between coaches who believed "dipping" was too slow and coaches who believed "dipping" increased accuracy. A mixed design was used for the...pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Who can say? But fans will always find a Rrezon to believe. What are the chances of a 2nd year Rrezon Elezay being a force in the paint?

Based on what he says is important, his decision should have been made this weekend.
Yes that was great. But that does not mean his number was retired. You could make the argument that he had the best UConn career of any player in our historyHurley and UConn put Tristen up on the wall like the next day which I thought was really impressive. I have a lot of favorite players at UConn but what Tristen and Bazz did for us each in their own way was epic. Bazz more emotional and Tristen so calm never getting rattled. If Demary can do this for us it’s going to be crazy. We don’t hear a lot about him in the preseason but what I expect is a big improvement from last year especially when shot clock is winding down.Hurley and UConn put Tristen up on the wall like the next day which I thought was really impressive. Yeah if Demary can win us two championships that’d be coolI have a lot of favorite players at UConn but what Tristen and Bazz did for us each in their own way was epic. Followed by a stint in the Peace CorpsHe didn't want to let seven years of college go to waste.
Looks like Thibs was there at the same time as DM. That might be a nice touch for a NYC kid
The women's practice court has their final four chairs as well. The teams are meant to take them and frankly we have so many there likely isn't a better place to store them. Two birds one stone.I love the chairs. What a lunatic.
They should auction them off. I'd take a couple! The women's practice court has their final four chairs as well. The teams are meant to take them and frankly we have so many there likely isn't a better place to store them. Two birds one stone.
