Mays and Mantle were rivals, but constitute a duo. Arguments with my neighbor often led to a physical altercation. He was 2 years older and had fast hands, so Mays(him) bested Mantle(me) every time other than the occasional sucker punch and run like heck.
You forgot "The Duke"

Magic Johnson and Greg Kelser were probably the first I remember. I became a huge Larry Bird fan that year and wanted so bad for Indiana State to win it all but the combo of Magic and Kelser was too much. Kelser was Robin to Magic’s Batman. Bird had no sidekick. Magic and Kelser were drafted 1 and 4 respectively.

Not a typo.
The dynamic duo is a common product in a game where only 5 players are on the court at a time.
College ball has seen some classic duos.

I have many in my head but I'll pick a relatively forgotten one.... but one that wasn't forgotten at the time:

2003-2004 St. Joe's team: Delonte West and Jameer Nelson.
A well coached team with two of the most dynamic playmakers I've ever seen: A terrifying combo.

I know we've had some local pairs too that deserve some mention. But I'll leave the rest to you.

Name some classic duos in Cbb (and pro, if you prefer... Celtics fans) that you remember fondly, or not so fondly.

Duke Snider? I just started following baseball in '64, very young, Duke was already retired by then. Really only knew Mick and Say Hey in the latter stages of their careers.
No worries. It was only an excuse to post the song.
