both dudes could fly out of the gym
Winning three of the required six games is not "came close"Channing Frye and Salim Stoudamire.
It's a bit of a deep cut, but I felt this Arizona duo was the Gordon/Okafor of the 2005 Tournament and picked them to win it all, which they came close to doing before blowing a 15 point lead in 3 minutes to Illinois in the Elite 8.
They were like 99% to win that game, then would have been favored against, I believe, #4 seed Louisville in the Final Four.Winning three of the required six games is not "came close"
Conley and Oden were nasty.Jamison/Carter
Webber/Rose
Williamson/Thurman
Duncan/Childress
Conley/Oden
Another duo from back in the day was Don Mclean and Tracy Murray at UCLA. They had two good season together and i think Maclean is the all time leading scorer in school history.Conley and Oden were nasty.
Also:
Chris Corchiani and Rodney Monroe
Todd day and lee Mayberry

Maris was a really good all around player but except for 1961, he was a one hit wonder ... a fluke home run season, due primarily to the most inviting PORCH in baseball ... Mantle was my GOD, potentially the best player of all-time except for countless injuries and his drinking issues .... still one of the best of all timeMantle & Maris if you were around in 1961 you ’d understand
