Dunn leaving to become Jets TE coach

In Giufre, who like Dunn was hired before the 2018 season, the Huskies have their fifth coordinator in four years. Dunn would have been the first offensive coordinator to complete back-to-back seasons at UConn since George DeLeone in 2011-12.

So much for OC continuity. It also explains our inability to close on some recruits this January. They can smell when someone is not all in.

Lol. I think the new president better listen when AD Dave tells him we need to pay our coaches to compete.
He is making the same amount of money with the Jets as his now-raised UConn salary

“Consistency in Systems” - has to be the new mantra for 2019

I want to hear again about Edsall's eye for coaching talent and how losing Richardson wasn't a red flag. What will see next? Corey to OC?

they promoted giufre the ol coach...

hey he won a nc at miami!

"I was not looking to leave for any other college," Dunn said. "I have goals and aspirations that relate to the NFL and these jobs don't come up much. This one did. I had to take it."

Sometimes individual aspirations have to be followed.

Dunn has already been a position coach in the NFL, establishing himself as an awesome OC in the next couple years at UConn would have been a better resume-builder... congrats on the gig buddy but thanks for leaving us in a lurch, jerk. Give Randy his money back!

Clearly I'm bitter.

Not sure how many of our commits were due to Dunn, but it seems like we always lose coaches the week of signing days.

Edsalls job keeps getting harder and harder.

Atmospherics and environment starts at the top. If Dunn was leaving for a NFL OC ok but leaving to Coach TEs at apparently the same pay? Lashlee, Grimes, Richardson and now Dunn leave. Our top assistants leave.
So much for transparency last night too.

Now my eyes are on Spanos. I’m not convinced he is all in either.

I'm and Edsall supporter, but he owns this. The Crocker thing was a complete mess and now a key cog that was apparently working is heading out. I don't think either the 2017 or the 2018 season needed to be the complete and total disasters they turned out to be.

I think Edsall and a lot of coaches feel the need to "make it their own" and have a tendency to break it all down and rebuild it. The problem with that approach is you can make the hole much deeper.

I hope I'm wrong, but I see absolutely no reason why the upcoming season will be any better than the last. Marshe and Beavers were big loses on D and there is no reason to believe we have anything like Pindell at QB. Mr. Dunn may have run away from something rather than to something.

I'm usually a half-full type of guy, but jeesh!
