Dunleavy out at Tulane

Because the guy is a good coach, a basketball scholar and a nice guy
Who cares about his finances
Tulane didn't give him support and not the best situation in which to recruit
He'll end up in the studio or NBA in an office capacity
Surprise, surprise. Your take on Dunleavy is about as out of touch as he was at Tulane.

I thought it was odd he took the job in the first place. Seems he could have landed at a better place if he really wanted to coach college hoops.

His kid would actually be a decent hire.

Maybe Tulane ought to consider the net effect of playing in a gym smaller than some high schools have. They should think about building a new facility.

We are back to a Conference that demands each participant play competitive. Play to get to the top. Even Tulane and Tulsa.

Remember the Big East in our post-Coming our period. Lappas wasn’t good enough. Welch out. Esherick. RU changes HC like underwear. There’s no patience for wannabe MeToo lingering.

USF rises? Temple looks like they can build. Dawkins & Sampson & Penny. Seasons like SMU just had puts the coach on notice.

This is how the AAC rises. As much as we hate to admit, this Conference is about grinding out a better competitor. That ain’t The Atlantic 10 mindset or several others. I don’t think Gonzaga is amongst 9 Programs that think like they do. UCONN needs this push. Hurley needs to get far better.

The toughest sell for a coach there is the lack of fan support. No one has showed up to that tiny arena in years.

They change coaches so frequently it should be called Tulane Highway.

That goes along with winning and winning requires buy-in and support from the AD/department/school and Tulane has done very little of that for their basketball program
It's a vicious circle
He will be happier going back to NBA, if that's the path he chooses
