MSU is proving that there are some nice teams out there than can run very pretty offenses. I'm impressed MSU is able to do so well against Duke's defense. I love to see a team screen and pass the ball as well as they do.

I'd like to see Azura Stevens get going, though, love her game. And MSU really, really needs to know where Greenwell is on the floor.
 
Wow, that collision of 2 Duke players looked bad. Hope they're OK.
 
Duke's Kendall Cooper limps off the floor into the locker room. :(

It did look rough, hopefully Cooper was only shaken up and not badly hurt.

Schaefer is doing a good job at Mississippi State. He knew his team needed time to grow, so he had a light non-conference schedule, but they have played well. They have a freshman, LaKaris Salter, who can shoot lights out. She doesn't play a lot, but she makes the most of her minutes.
 
The lack of composure by Miss State is really surprising considering I hear they play in such a great conference.

All these blow outs between teams seeded so close together? Is that UConn's fault too?

Duke has taken control. Cameron is a very loud arena and when Duke gets momentum it's hard to stop it.
 
Miss St kept it close for a time, now its blow out time. Have thought Miss St was overrated this year and now they're showing it.

Still a good year for an improving program. Don't think they can comeback to win this game.
 
Mississippi State gave Duke fits the first half but the blue devils look to be pulling away.
I'm appalled at how small the crowd is though.
 
Duke started the second half playing much better defense which seemed to fluster MSU. Then they got behind 4 points or so and started to panic on offense, taking quick or ill-advised shots.

Azura Stevens is a heck of a player, though, and has really asserted herself.

Agreed! I thought she could have been SEC Freshman of the year.
 
Well, I thought the game was over but MSU has other ideas, is on an 8-1 run.

That was a foul on Greenwell and no question about it....
 
Wow, bad call on MSU with them down 6 and only a minute left in the game. The coach was dumb to get a T, too.

Not impressed by Duke at all. Luckily for them they had home advantage for the first two rounds.

I don't know - she actually mixed up her defense a bit and ran some plays for Stevens. I'm not sure what was said to Eliz. Williams at half time, but it worked.

Are you the same person who gave the ridiculous unfair statement that if Duke womens were in the mens tournament they would be a 14 seed? LMAOOO if that was indeed you your hatred towards Duke is now hilarious. Oh and btw Uconn is the ONLY team that could make the mens tournament and if they did they would be a 16 seed. I'm really hoping that WAS you that made that statement.
 
Good game by Duke, but boy do they need some guards - biggest difference between halves was Duke stopped turning the ball over - they had about 15 in the first half and almost none in the second half.
 
Glad Duke won. The call at the 1 minute mark when Greenwell so clearly fouled the Ms State player was horrible, but I still think Duke would have won. Glad to see them making some shots. Stevens is a really good player.

Agree but you never know. What is certain is that Duke benefitted both games from very questionable late game calls.

Becca was fouled first then she pushed off, it should have been a foul then a technical
on the shove.
