Wow another 500 fans sitting in terrible $5 seats 40 yards away from the court.

I'll bet Syracuse will break this record 3 of the next 5 years, who cares? Winning a race against yourself is not that impressive. Unless your alums say it 180 times over 48 hours on ESPN.

Syracuse needs a rival, they lost Uconn and only dook and UNC fit the bill.

This is something that BC never recognized either. The big rivalry in the ACC will always be UNC/Duke. And now that the novelty has worn off, Cuse will assume it's usual runner-up position.

Yes trying to preserve natural rivalries which have been lost....that is one reason Syracuse is holding tightly to the rivalry they had with Georgetown. They have gone out of their way to keep that game..... because as it has been pointed out, who else do they have? The great anticipated annual Syracuse-Pitt rivalry is of little interest......

As for BC and their basketball program, it is just lost. We all knew Donahue wasn't the answer....And with their new hire.... they have just burned away another 3 years.... we wait for him to fail..... funny to think about BC hoops.... going way back, they stayed afloat by recruiting marginal academic guys to their proud institution..... John Bagley, Jay Murphy, Michael Adams.... etc.... the program has never been fluid or had proper leadership.

I may be in the minority, but I always saw Pitt as a bigger rival than Syracuse. We had great games with Pitt, and they usually went down to the wire. Syracuse got a lot of publicity, but most of their image came from the Carrier Dome rather than great accomplishments over time.
