Good thing Greenwell didn't take the day off like the rest of the Duke team -- including the coach.
Only a very bad jump ball call and a clutch three by Greenwell amd a last-shot miss on a three (nice defensive set, P!) saved Duke's bacon.
And just when I was wondering if P's post-loss press conference would be featured on the whip-around.
The team that won this game had by far the superior talent -- but not the best coaching.
If the Sun take Williams in the draft I will be convinced that they don't have a clue. (Okay, I'm probably already convinced of that.)
 
Duke wins by 2......Please be nice BYers. We do have a few Duke fans that follow the board. That's if they didn't die of a stroke watching the game today.

both of them were at the game - they are still in awe of how JPM could make the game so close
 
In a just out press release, from Greyhound America, it was announced that Greyhound will keep its Super Luxury Liner bus at Cameron Indoor Stadium through the weekend.

Sonny, I was actually pulling for the Dukies because it wasn't looking good for them at Cameron Indoor for short periods. Glad they won today.....but how far will they go limping?

I don't see how JPM survives this unless this propels Duke on a long NCAA run say like Regional finals.
 
I just switched over to he men's tournament. Duke should not have been playing at home even though they had at the most 600 fans not incuding students. Albany was the winner in my book. Again a terrible Duke team will be lucky to get sweet 16. The women's tournament will be a true tournament when losers like Duke get the same treatment as teams such as Tenn, Louisville, etc
 
Oh Duke what is happening in Durham? Bring back Gail..... Geez!!! Should have been Albany's game today..... Duke soooo lucky to advance

Supposed to be one of those teams that makes the ACC so tough? They only lost to nd by six in the tournament. The entire conference is so overated.
 
Painful watching greenwell, a shooter, do essentially all the guard duties. She will love the help she's getting next year.

I can imagine. Albany has a history of playing tough but that shouldn't have been a surprise to whoever did the scouting.

After continuous let downs dating back to last year I can honestly say Joanne has numb my feelings when it comes to the Duke womens program. This game was sad as a fan, yet predictable. As a general fan of basketball I personally apologize to the "basketball gods" for saying Duke could make the F4 a couple weeks back.

I would think the class of 2015 is having second thoughts about attending Duke- lets see who arrives in the summer/Fall

I understand the sentiment, but never underestimate the boost Duke gets in recruiting from its campus, its academic standing, etc. If you were the father of a heavily recruited high school kid, you would likely be hard-pressed not to advise your child to accept the free ride there, as opposed to lots of other places. True, she won't get great coaching, but she'll put a nice diploma on the wall!
 
Even if you are one of the best after graduation a gypsies life style is the
only way to make a few bucks.
