In fairness to Scheyer, his last two tournament losses have been two of the hugest chokes in history. And he did it back to back.

But, yeah, this is no Matt Doherty situation.

The last player to go to three is probably a player I'm not going to look up from UCLA 2006-2008.

And there's probably a player on MSU from 1999-2001.

The last player to do that and win at least two titles would probably be someone from UK 1996-1998 (Padgett?).

On Friday night, I was contemplating the possibility of losing a Sweet 16 game with the same 19-point margin showing on the TV screen. And UConn had blown a 19-point Sweet 16 lead in 1990, before Tate George's shot.

So that's three different second weekend games with 19-point turnarounds that worked out in the Huskies' favor.

I was pretty impressed by their offense and also defensive adjustments to our stuff in the first half. He's far better than calipari and they'll probably win one soon, but not this year.

Nitpicking, but Cayden Boozer scored the same number of points as Karaban in the 2 east regional games (each combined for 22 total). Cayden threw the ball away with 8 seconds left and AK had the game winning assist and a 3 pointer with 50 seconds left. I think AK should’ve been on that east regional team before Cayden Boozer…but they probably selected that list with 5 mins to go in the game.

What's educational about that (and other threads about this game) is that I saw complaints about Scheyer's coaching and disappointment that player A or player B made a bad crunch time decision, but no player was called out for being garbage or should never see the floor again and so on - which IMHO elevates their fans over the idiots who post vile stuff on our boards.

I’ve got to agree. I think it’s our collective Northeast attitude, and Land of constant Negativity. We should have more class as we are an elite program and don't have to prove anything to the media, talking heads and other fan bases.

Temu Boozer’s inclusion on any list for basically ever has always had his brother priced into it.
 
Been ripping through YouTube post game podcasts. On one there was a one on one with Tracey Wolfson and Scheyer outside the locker room. Said basicly the same things as in the post game presser. “These guys don’t deserve this”….blah blah blah. Not 1 shoutout to UConn. Has anyone seen him actually congratulate us? Typical Duke!

I'm still in shock. I have been consuming UConn content since the game ended. Big shoutout to Solo Ball, who showed some guts at the end of this game. Huge steal with an and-1 against Cam Boozer. Then he came up with a man's rebound on the offensive glass. I've been critical of his play recently, but it looked like something clicked for him at the end of this game. He stopped thinking and started hooping.

You know, they count for just as many points earlier in the game. If we had started 3 for 18, we would've already been up 4 when Mullins hit the game winner.
