Every single year Duke gets a treasure trove of talent. But their supporters never acknowledge this. They pretend they're in the same boat as everyone else. If the program you pull for reels in the best players in the nation every year, be grateful. At the very least, admit that your team is getting the best players. But Duke supporters don't do this. I think entitlement is the primary reason. All Duke fans have known for the last 40 years or so is grabbing top 10 players in every class. They have no idea what's it's like for the rest of us. This is one of the many things that annoys me about Duke.
 
That’s the black eye that Sellers tried to give Laettner!!! The “people’s elbow” has come full circle, from Sellers to Reibe!!! Lol. Rejoice

duke actually does a very good job getting solid role players. that's the secret to their success compared to calipari.
 
One of the best parts of the reaction to the Braylon game winner is Tom Moore. The fans, players, and all the other coaches are losing their mind and the consgliere Tom Hagen, I mean Tom Moore is wrangling everyone to keep them from running onto the court.

Did Demary get credit for that as a steal? He tipped it then Mullins caught it so I don't know how it's ruled.
 
Funny story about the end of the game Sunday. My dad was watching and his TV was probably about 10 seconds ahead of mine. We were texting all game back and forth but he called me as Duke was inbounding the ball. I figured he was ready to talk about what a letdown it was so waited to answer until the game ended but he'd already hung up. 4 second voicemail before he hung up and called my wife next to me. Same exact 4 second voicemail in the same exact pitch for her, then hung up

Exactly. As soon as I heard that I was like… don’t you mean if he wins a 3rd championship in 10 years he’s the modern Coach K?

Before the games went to cable + CBS, you only had the 1 CBS channel (unless you had like a satellite package or whatever). So viewership expanded by a lot when the cable games were added and they started airing 4x the number of games. So then you're just comparing like with like in the different CBS+ cable years vs. the massive numbers from 30+ years ago when there was a lot less competition and things on basic network TV got insane ratings. Stuff from the late 90s and 00s had less games and worse basic network TV ratings.
