If Gray is as limited as some have suggested, why is she playing. Is a substantially limited Gray the best that can be on the floor?

Win or lose, I'll be glad when the game is over @ 9pm next tuesday....
Unfortunately, after Duke, UConn will not play a quality team for the rest of the season. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.) For that reason, the rest of the regular season will be somewhat boring ( at least if you are looking for a competitive game.) The AAC tourney will also not be very competitive. The only thing that could change the future are injuries or complacency.

Ok. We play Louisville twice. And Baylor. Both ranked teams. Plus the AAC tourney and NCAA tourney. I'm sure we'll meet some decent teams there.

Depends on what you mean by a competitive game. Within 10? We haven't had one of them yet. So the rest of the regular season won't be any more "boring" then the front end of the season.

OMG...11-0 Arkansas is a threat to UCONN? Maybe in football..............In WCBB..........Not in the next 30 years............Lets look at 11-0 Arkansas in 30 days or so........
Just like DUKE, they have not play anyone in the top 10, yet. Cal is like RU or St. John's on a good year. Their team from the final 4 is not the same team now.......OK is a Top 25 team at best
UCONN plays Cal on Dec 22nd in NYC and it will not be pretty for them........

Yes, she is. And her numbers are still excellent. It just shows what a great talent she is.

From the archives of Duke Basketball Report, where Rob Clough used to publish his articles before starting DWHoops.com:

"**Cameron Craziness: I've seen a lot of games at Duke, and this was one of the top five in terms of fan inventiveness and involvement. Cameron's doors opened at 5:30pm, and the downstairs was 90% full within 15 minutes.

The entire "media" side of the student section was jampacked with nothing but fans, the most hardcore of the tenting group. Before gametime, they let in even more students, making them all squeeze in. The other Duke loyalists also jammed the stadium--there were no seats to be found. A couple of hundred hardy UConn fans made the trek, and for the most part
were enthusiastic but polite. (The exception were three drunken louts who snuck into the student section, were thrown out, and snuck back in and were thrown out again, only to hold up the start of the second half as they were busy flexing and posing on their way out.) The 6th Man had tons of signs and costumes. Upon discovering that Auriemma's real first name
is "Luigi", they ran with it, with someone dressing up as Mario from "Super Mario Brothers", getting it down to a "t". (Mario's brother is, of course, Luigi.) Of course, Taurasi's father is named Mario, so the students were chanting "Who's your daddy? Mario" at her, and to her credit, she came over and said "Hello, father" to him. The 6th Man taunted the UConn players during warmups, with the "1, 2, 3...stretch" routine, cracking up the Huskies. Duke resurrected an old UConn razz,
changing "Husky--Cheerleaders" to "Husky--Women!" One poster said "Seperated At Birth?" and had photos of Taurasi and the Grey Alien. There were many, many more signs and chants--this just scratches the surface.

The important thing is that the crowd never gave up on the team even when down 28, and started roaring when even the slightest positive sign cropped up. When Duke actually went on a run, it was like listening to an airplane take off. It was a truly impressive showing for the fans and the university, who were obnoxious but never went over the line and supported the team above all. If only a fraction of that energy can be harnessed for the remaining home games, Duke will be in good shape."

For the overall annoyance of our Duke guests, IMO the worst defeat I've ever seen the Huskies suffer was at the hands of Duke's beloved in-state rivals, the Tar Heels. In the game that introduced me to the concept "Ivory Latta", it was a blowout early, and the Huskies were never even able to be competitive in our own house. I think it's the only time I've seen the Huskies look hapless.

Five words for TonyC: "Jessica Foley at the buzzer!" Still stings.

Duke's Last Second Basket Breaks Huskies Streak
I was at that game in Htfd - mid court about the 10-12th row, and she was right between my seat and the hoop. She was falling away as I recall and I could see that ball was going in the second it left her hands. As I recall - we were up 6-8 pts late and duke pressed and we turned it over 3-4 times in a row w out getting fouled. Even DT was rattled late in that press!

It's my all-time worst game. I know there was much more on the line in the 2001 semi-final
loss to Notre Dame, but that Duke loss was one of the few (only?) games where I had to
watch UConn panic and choke. Agonizing to watch.
We did panic and choke. Blew a good lead late with a lot of turnovers if I recall. Kept getting trapped on in bounds. We had that game and couldn't get to the foul line to win it at the end.
