Can't believe the size and number of tattoos that Brittney has gotten since April. :) Just don't understand why so many get tattoos and some are so ugly and/or poorly done.

She has been wearing long sleeves long before April. I suspect some of these tattoos have been around awhile

For the link, I use firefox and got this message "Cookies must be enabled to view articles on azcentral.com". anyone know how to fix?

Anyway, not sure if the problem was my computer or not but i went to AZcentral.com under sports and found the article...

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/mer...-taurasi-buying-hype-once.html?nclick_check=1

And by the way, it was a GREAT article. Some fantastic and classic quotes from Diana. She truly is my all time favorite... And the picture of her and Brit is great.

Side note - DT talks about Griner struggling with the speed of the game and how hard it will be playing against centers with much more experience and who are stronger. I suspected, and DT's comments sort of confirmed it, that Griner will struggle at times in the pros. In another thread there was talk about ROY and my $ is on EDD to win it, even tho I think Griner will eventually be a great one...

The issue only occurs when you click to pop open a link. If you copy the link address and past it into the address bar, it should work fine.

'cookies' error came up in chrome too.

Actually, that didn't work for me on Chrome or IE...but pasting Taurasi Buying Hype into Google pulled a link that I was able to access w/o the cookies issue...

You are correct. It looks like they've since changed the link on the AZCentral website. Let's try linkning it again:

boom goes the dynamite.

I am so happy that BG will be mentored by DT. BG could not have landed in a better place to help develop her pro game.

Here is something I have been saying for a while. I've watched her play a LOT and she is going to surprise a lot of people, just like she surprised DT.
“She’s probably more skilled than the last 20 centers that have come out of the college ranks,” Taurasi said. “She has unbelievable hands, unbelievable touch and can shoot from 15 feet. Her foundation is a lot better than most rookies. That’s what surprises me.”

I dispute Geno's statement that BG didn't develop her game enough in college. I contend that Mulkey simply wasn't willing to go outside her comfort zone as a coach and just let BG play all over the court like she is capable of doing.

Regarding talent, any kind of talent - if you don't use it, you don't develop it.

Mulkey would hold Griner back so she would not go outside of her (coaching) comfort zone - not to be believed. IMO, that statement is a crock of stuff.

Geno develops players, pushes them to meet and greet their potential, and then pushes them beyond it. If you dispute that he says Griner didn't develope her game enough in college, I would have to beg to differ. Of course, there is no way to win or lose this argument, so I am not looking for a long back and forth about this, but you take all of our #1 players as freshman and look at them again as seniors, and you will see a huge - HUGE difference in improvement.
Diana is recognizing her skills, but there is work to do.

LOL...I get it...you don't like Baylor, Mulkey, or BG.

Mulkey is very stubborn and, IMO, failed to use BG in a similar fashion that Geno uses Dolson. I think this was a colossal failure on Mulkey's part. BG put in a lot of work developing her game.

And you are incorrect, as you often are, IMO, there will be an easy way to win or lose this dispute; watch how she performs in the WNBA. You will be convinced that she has talents that you never got to see her use at Baylor or I will be convinced that she is not as skilled as I, and apparently DT, think she is.

As I said, there is no way to win or lose this argument as the proof would have occurred in the last 4 years. You making assumptions about what I like or don't like doesn't get you any closer to the truth but it does serve to make you look a little silly.

I'm not making any assumptions. Every post you've ever made about anything Baylor has been negative. I guess I would rather look silly than ignorant.

And yes, there is a way to win or lose this argument. BG is about to hit the WNBA and her true talents will be revealed. One of us will be proven wrong.

Every post...am I being stalked?

no kidding...Griner is going to up her skills because of the speed and advanced skills of the WNBA - she has no choice but to do so or she will not be successful.

the discussion was whether Geno was correct about her not developing her game in college as much as she could have done so.

You don't develop "skills" overnight. It's not as if she is suddenly going to develop skills that she has had already. I chalk it up to another uninformed comment.

I do not think that BG played to her potential in college. Don't get me wrong...she definitely improved while at Baylor. She graduated in my opinion the best center to play the college game, but I don't think she was utilized the to her maximum at Baylor. For one people like Pope obviously, didn't like sharing the box with her. Two, I watch several games where BG didn't get a touch for long periods of time and wondered how could you not be running the offense through BG? Why wasn't she touching the ball on every possession? Why didn't Mulkey bring in a sky hook specialist and teach her early on on how to use that weapon...how about the baby hook that Jane Appel developed at Stanford? She hasn't been at pro-camp two weeks and they have Jabbar teaching her the sky-hook. I'm just sayin'

How often was she going to get to use the sky hook? You don't get to use the sky hook with three players surrounding you. And that Kareem bit was nothing but show.

Now Mulkey is being criticized for not teaching her a shot that only really one player in basketball has used?

However, I do agree that BG was completely under utilized in college.

Pope has a much higher regard for herself than anyone else does. It took her three years before she could make a layup without hitting the bottom of the backboard or rim. And she never learned how to hit a jumper or FT.

I suspect you and Geno are singing from the same hymnal...let's hope A'ja takes note...
