So what the hell is Kentucky going to say? We never produced any players?

Agreed. If UK can claim the john walls, Anthony Davis's, MKG's, and soon to be Julius Randle's of the NBA then we can claim Drummond.

From what I have seen drummond gets in passing lanes and gets a lot of deflections in addition to blocking shots. I don't see hibbert do much besides stay near the basket and block a few shots per game of which a lot end up going out of bounds or back to the opposing team and aren't really that valuable. from a half court team defense perspective I might prefer drummond and clearly from a transition defense perspective I would take drummond as he will rarely ever get beat down the court by the opposing center. So I wouldn't say that Hibbert is a much better defender when you consider the overall half court defense and transition defense. Shot blocking he has an edge though. I think Hibbert would be more valuable to a bad or decent team to become good or very good because he is an offensive post presence that can open up outside shots. I think a good or very good team would want drummond because he can impact the game in just about every way without having the ball in his hands and compliments star guards and forwards extremely well.
17 games in, the only advantage hibbert has is playing with PG and being 6 years older. Dre has better numbers, but he needs to bring it every night and limit his lapses. Hibbert just has better awareness, mainly defensively. In a year I envision drummond being the best 5 in the world, mainly because of his Barkley-esque prowess on the glass.

Some of you guys are homers in the extreme. Andre is an athletic freak and that alone is going to take him a long way but as of right now that's the only advantage he has over a guy like Hibbert, who has really turned himself into probably the best true center in the league.

hibbert will never be the rebounder drummond is. You do realize he's a top 2 rebounder in the league ? He also averages 2.0 steals a game... At 6'11 280. look at what dre is doing statistically, 6 years younger no less.

"@Keith_Langlois: Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said today that he considers @DRE_DRUMMOND_ one of league's 3 most improved along with Paul George, Eric Bledsoe."
