If I was AD and I wanted $$$$$ I would leave. If they will pay you to develop you are a special type of player and getting paid millions to develop is a pretty good job.

Lamb is as good as gone and he will do just fine in the NBA.

Lamb is good as gone. Doing fine in the NBA? I wonder, actually. He's got the talent...but many talkheads think he doesn't have the fire.

#2 could very well be the Bobcats. I personally think he should be a one and done player, and I know a lot of posters are concerned about Drummond leaving too early and turning into a Thabeet but does anybody actually think Kemba would let a UConn alum fail on his team? Thabeet went #2 in the weakest draft in recent history, this year's class has the potential to be considered in the same light as the '03 and '07 draft.

Kemba and Drummond = awesome

That is all. :D

I think they are wrong. He's just not a very expressive person on the court.

I mean look at some of those players and tell me he wouldn't start or play ahead of a lot of them.[/quote]

All of those players and I emphasize ALL of them, know how to play basketball. Unfortunately, at this point AD does not.
None of those players would even think about throwing a behind the back pass to a 6' guard who is covered under the basket...it is just not a play that a basketball player makes unless they are in an all-star game.

I don't doubt that AD will be drafted high based on potential but no way, he would start next year in the NBA and he would likely spend most of the year in the D-league...far too many rough edges that need to be smoothed out.

AD will know how to play basketball with a preseason in the NBA. On the right team, he's playing significant minutes next year.

With ya NHU, he needs a lot of polish and 1 or 2 more years with JC and staff will enhance his game, as long as he works on it himself also. The understanding of the game is so important to big men and he's a long way from there.

The quotes thing got messed up. I think AD knows the game enough that he can contribute. Will he benefit from 1-2 years at UConn? Immensely. He may only need one. But I think he would learn the game enough to play during a NBA preseason. Bigs take a long time to develop (see Perkins). To get a freak like Howard...that's a different story.

I think Anthony Davis will be able to start for any team though. That kid is a beast.
