Too late for that. He's gone to our old friend Rhett. Its almost that time again...the time of the spring when we discuss if Tyler Van Dyke could play his [7]th year here.
I think you missed my jokeToo late for that. He's gone to our old friend Rhett.
It's only funny if he's in the portal though.I think you missed my joke
actually, wrong. It's only funny if he's in the portal though.
Avoid 100%
I am actually disappointed that we are talking to him.
If we somehow do end up with this kid on our roster I can only hope:This kid would spend more time litigating against than playing for us. Besides which, for the money he negotiated with other schools, we could use that money shoring up other aspects of the team. He's just a million dollar transferring bench warmer.
Did he have off field issues? Not sure why he is being deemed a problem. My main concern in this situation is can he be a starter at this level and so far he hasn’t shown anything.Sorry if this is out of line… but our QB situation is okay. Why add a problem?
What does this even mean? Did you read about the situation in Florida? He clearly has a cause of action.Today it was revealed that the UConn staff is recruiting Jaden Rashada. If you’re not aware, Jaden pledged to attend University of Florida, and then sued for millions when he decided to leave. He then failed at Arizona State and couldn’t crack the depth chart at Georgia. Now our staff is recruiting him in the transfer portal. Have we yet to learn our lesson? This kid is the same as Evers, except worse because he is clearly a money chaser. Is this really what we want? Joe will beat him for the starting role and the kid will steal money from the school like he’s doing for Florida. This seems so silly.
You put way too much on seeing UConn's name in a tweet. If a player has a conversation, a school gets named.Today it was revealed that the UConn staff is recruiting Jaden Rashada. And because you apparently don't care, UConn's new QB coach worked with the kid at Georgia. I'd think that a coach that spent a year with the kid probably knows more than you do.
But yes let's just say silly things without any sort of context.
Y'all people need to take a breath and think before you type.
I agree with your logic. I have no inside information on this story, but if promises are made, and then not kept, why shouldn’t you fight for your rights? I can’t think of anyone who would just walk away in that situation. This is big moneyWhat does this even mean? Did you read about the situation in Florida? He clearly has a cause of action.
You know UCONN players get paid for NIL right? Which ones should we kick out for being money chasers? Let’s assume several chose UCONN because they offered the most money.
SECOND chance?I would trust Mora to decide if the kid is worthy of a second chance. UConn could be a good place to rehab his image. We certainly wouldn't be paying him like P4 schools would.
It’s just the tip of the newly formed Iceberg:I'ld be willing to bet that there is an agent/attorney waiting to cash in on settlements from all those "agreements". This stuff is a holy mess and it is so sad that there is not the leadership within college athletics to take this on and try to fix it.
If I were Mora and Benedict I wouldn't go anywhere near this kid.
I do not know if he was defrauded, or had the other side breach a binding agreement, in regards to the University of Florida. But I don’t understand why, if that’s what happened, a college athlete has to suffer losses and not seek legal redress in a situation where other people would. The thought that one knows someone is troublesome because he sues someone else, without knowing more, is incredibly stupid.
Ok but at the same time others have to play the odds. I would hope a school playing with this much money as CFB does now would look into the situation but for uconns sake or another schools sake this player does not deserve the benefit of the doubt and the chances must be weighedI do not know if he was defrauded, or had the other side breach a binding agreement, in regards to the University of Florida. He was never at Florida, signed a LOI but never enrolled. ASU was his freshman year. Georgia sophomore season.Wait. How long was he at Florida?
It’s just the tip of the newly formed Iceberg:
