Down goes Oregon.... Louisville 72, Oregon 62

They should. I know not many (if any) will agree, but if you’re a top 10 program, and you knock off number 1, the program that on paper is supposed to be better than those ranked below them, I think that team should go to the top of the poll.

Baylor will take over the top spot. Oregon will probably drop down to number 5, with everyone moving up one spot. Louisville moves up to number 3/4 behind Baylor, Stanford and possibly UConn.
Always thought team that has won against tougher schedule should be higher ranked. Today, that is Louisville.

The Ducks won't be going undefeated this year. I like when top teams lose, but I have mixed feelings when they are on UConn's schedule. Part of me wants the teams we play to have the best possible records. I wonder if UL will leapfrog the Huskies in Monday's poll?
The nice thing about this loss is: When Uconn plays them The Uc kids will know Sabrina et al is beatable.
Jeff is an innovative coach. He'll do what it takes to win including mugging the opponents best player (Griner?)

That's the hope. Still questions abound: two will be freshmen and the other will be playing for UConn for the first time.
Astute observation. As @HuskyNan reminds me: Freshmen are freshmen even the greatest of them. There is always a question of whether Geno Trusts them enough to play flawlessly.

You are right all shall not agree. I don't believe ONE win should allow a number 10 to jump over 8 other teams . (pick the number you'd like). Some wins are flukes, i.e. a combination of alignment of the stars. I'm not saying the winner should NOT move up but only that they jump should not be far.
If the quality of wins Oregon has had dictates they too shouldn't drop far.
Right now I think Uconn is right where it belongs kinda looming in the shadows no be threat no push over.
I'm not as well versed as you in quality of schedules unfortunately because I think that is a greater factor in how much a team moves with a win or a loss. I bow to your expertise.

No argument here. I know that’s not how it works, I was just saying that I’d be ok with it until they lost their next game. Water seeks its own level. It’s early in the season. Top 10 teams will settle in a slot where they rightfully belong.

A well-deserved loss imo: no intensity, no sense of urgency, absolutely abysmal shooting, and maybe too much time reading press releases. In essence, that was the story of the entire tournament for Oregon and, generally, for all of their games since the USA exhibition. One 30+ quarter. sometimes 2, and then skating through the remainder of the game: enough for an Oklahoma State or even a Syracuse, but not Louisville. Both Hebard and Ionescu have seemingly been on walkabouts all too often, with Sabally, and Moore the only players who seem to be awake for too much of too many games. Hardly the team Sue Bird praised earlier this fall. The only potential upside is that Oregon had a clunker like this at about the same time last year (Michigan State), and that wake up call worked. But, at this point, the team has a long way to go to get to the level at which they played last year.

All the talk about Boston on South Carolina....how about Kylee Shook of Louisville!
i'M confused. Geography isn't my suite but I thought Boston was in Mass not South Carolina and isn't Louisville in Kentucky? I have a question for you---who is doing ALL this talking??

I noticed that Oregon's position in the Massey ratings hasn't changed. They were #4 before the loss and are #4 after the loss. I think there's something to Massey. Louisville went from 5 to 1.
