Double ROYs

UConn: The Basketball Blue Blood where we might not pay the highest NIL in the nation, but we know that the players that sign on to our teams want to be part of a championship culture that prepares them for the pro level.

What's better than that, especially in his current era of professional college sports?

Thank you Dan and Geno.

ahh yes, I modified my ChatGPT query....there is only one school. Taurasi and Oakafor came close in 2004/5 but Lebron won in 04.
Sorta depends how you look at it. Okafor and Taurasi were the same draft year. Castle and Bueckers were the same calendar year for the award. Both were reigning rookies of the year at the same time.

We’re just covering all our bases.

I'll allow it. So in this case, would you say we have a Double double-ROY?

Depends on if you're counting "one school has reigning ROYs at the same time" or "one school won both ROYs in the same calendar year". I think either is legit since they play in different seasons.

Who knows, someday it may pay for your kids college.
My eldest starts college next fall, and my younger kid in fall 2028, so Steph and Paige better start racking up the MVPs and (W)NBA titles starting....right now. 😆
