for those who dont know... head/shoulder area injury?

nothing to do with legs/knees/ankles

Her head hit the floor awfully hard. Could be a concussion.

Chris Dailey just said she hit her hip, shoulder and head. Said C was kept out as a precaution.

Chris Dailey said she banged her shoulder and her hip. did she mention her head? i was typing so fast i may have missed that... said she should be fine, but keeping her out was precautionary.

Is this injury different from when she hurt her hand? In the first half, she went down, took a free shot, missed badly, and came out shaking her hand, according to the radio. How did that injury work out?

If anyone cares, the court came away:cool: unscathed.

Geno after the game:

"She is fine," Auriemma said after UConn's 92-31 win over Towson. "I just talked to Doc (Tom Trojian) and said she landed on her hip, then her shoulder and her head and by the end of the game she was fine. They just didn't want to put her out there with all that noise and lights as a precaution."

Damn. Its a facebook world now! I think I'll post an OT thread on birds and see what happens.

Yep, they were just being careful in case it was a concussion. The light and noise could have exacerbated the problem. Then again, if you needed to get away from noise, the XL Center was the place to be tonight. :)
