Not giving up on program or Edsall.

It is entirely obvious Edsall has no intention to try and win this year.

Offense and defense game plans are built for 2020 and 2021.

He's down 3 TD's with a defense that gives up TD's every drive and he's running Mensah between the tackles.

Punting at midfield.

Not playing a defensive scheme to put any pressure on QB. Horrible angles and effort resulting inissed arm tackles.

I'll check back in late December and February after recruiting class is signed.

Wish I could blame you. No matter what Edsall says, I don’t think UConn should be historically the worst defense in college football history.

I guess we hope there is a long term plan. But for those of you who still think we should play a senior qb while getting destroyed, I disagree. Time to play Washington. I know Pindell is the best option...but losing by 40 or 50, doesn’t matter. At least play a guy who will be here next year. Or Krajewski.

I am really surprised this D hasn’t gotten better....and that’s on the coaches.

Frankly, I'm not sure why anyone cares about this year anymore. 41 points in a half???

There are no words to describe the situation we're in.

I just don't understand it. We have a good school. We're in a decent conference. Our athletic department has been more successful than most.

I know we had two bad coaching hires, but this is an epic fail.

Even so, I still have faith in HCRE.

My goal is to make it through the first half of every game. Anything extra is gravy. The team is well on its way to shattering the record of most yards per game allowed, ever. This is what happens when your defense is full of freshman, most of them without FBS offers. What a nightmare.

Be done until 2021 at the earliest, Anyone who saw the first edition of Edsall knows how bad these first couple of years will be until he gets his own players.

I think Pindell has regressed since the first three games. I said play Washington last week, saw the indecision then. Washington has the talent and smarts to keep a busted play alive, Pindell does not, more often than not, he gets sacked or tries to run through five guys to no avail.

If it weren't for Pindell this would be far more ugly - if that's possible
Every article you read about UConn this year by most any publication says the only bright spot in UConn football is Pindell
I disagree with the regression remark
His receivers drop balls, the backs run into a stacked line and the O line offers little protection.
He's not the best QB in the league but he is far from the worst

Pindell is playing fine. He isn’t the problem. But it’s obvious that this year is a joke so why play a guy who is gone? Start him...but get Washington and Krajewski time before there is 5 minutes left.

As good as Pindell has been, Washington is a far more talented athlete than Pindell. Washington is a much greater offensive threat IMO and his much better lateral movement makes it difficult for pass rushers to get their hands on him. All he needs is PT to gain some experience. Pindell has regressed, he's not the same player he was four or five games ago.

This is total crap football. I’ve moved to casual interest. Can’t get pumped for this S-show.

Saw Colorado bear ASU today. I highly recommend going to the stadium—may be the most beautiful in all of sports. Saw good football with a great crowd.

I left more convinced than ever that we need to shut it down. We’re not in the same stratosphere as what’s going on at a mid level P5 program.

It’s not salvageable—just give it up
You are what? 25 tops? Stop it.
We suck. It is worse than imagined. But the Buffs sucked ass just a short while ago too.

The planet that says check his stats game by game this season so far and do a comparative analysis. He's not the same player he was at the start of the season. He could have a nagging injury, I don't know, but it's time to give Washington more and more PT. He is much better at avoiding the pass rush and scrambling in the backfield than Pindell ever was. He also needs the experience, that will pay dividends going forward this season and next.

He has been playing on a bad ankle. Fits with the level of play.

If UConn could start winning with the UMass game, and win five straight, it could qualify for a bowl game this year. I know it's a long-shot, but it would make up for the mess that the team currently is in.

Seems like the only decision left for the staff is how to handle Pindell and Washington and Krawjewski -but only for the last four games. If Pindell can’t run he shouldn’t be playing because his arm is not enough to offset the loss of mobility.

Oh, and the staff also has to figure out who they want to encourage to leave the program early. Yeah, the part of roster management that no one likes to discuss.
