Calm down. Brown is 57 years old. He is attaching himself to the new HC at BC, which should get him 3 to 4 more years before retiring. The risk of staying at UConn and only getting 1 or 2 more years was too high, so the decision makes sense for him.
We will miss Brown, but the defense wasn't perfect. Brown's defense was exciting, but it took many risks. UConn's defense was good before Brown got here and I think it will be good after he leaves.
For UConn, this may make the coaching staff YOUNGER, which is sorely needed. Brown was the youngest of our 3 top coaches!
Maybe PP forced out DB. Ever think of that? Maybe he wants to go in another direction.Agree with this. Brown knows Pasqualoni is on the hot seat and will likely be fired after this season if the team doesn't improve on its 5-7 mark (against a better schedule and losing half its defense). He's just making a move for stability now while his stock is up before being forced to look for work after 2013. Plus, I'm sure BC pays their assistants much higher than UConn pays. This issue HAS TO BE ADDRESSED. Otherwise, we're doomed with DeLeone-esque coordinators.

Sounds crazy, but who knows.
If Hughes is DC then PP had no problem with DB leaving. If a national search then he was surprised.Lol. Knowing this staff, he probably did.
Have DeLeone coach the D, and hire Ray Handley to run the offense.
Where is zone blocking when you need it?How about Rich Kotite as the OC?

And if PP surprises the out of everyone well............... crows will become extinct.
And this is the time we have to evaluate WM. Not now. If our suspicions are correct, when does WM pull the trigger and who does he get. If he fired PP after this season his coaching search would have less candidates then if he fires PP next season. There are coaches who don't want to go in to a program, uprooting their family knowing they have only two years to prove themselves.I will happily, ecstatically eat crow if we win more than we lose next year. I will party my ass off at the bowl game. I will buy a drink for any Boneyarder I run into there. Ain't gonna happen.
I'll enjoy a beer at Yankee stadium next year! Thanks for buyingI will happily, ecstatically eat crow if we win more than we lose next year. I will party my ass off at the bowl game. I will buy a drink for any Boneyarder I run into there. Ain't gonna happen.
