I was impress with HBsstealand basketyesterday, confirming what Ihave long suspectd, she is a power forward-and thats where she should play. These E-pads are trrible with grammer.......!

Mission accomplished. Some grok and some don't. There was no sarcasm intended - only humor. I even stuck up a smiley face.

when heather plays well against good competition then she can be given serious consideration. she probably will be given that chance, and we'll see if she's up to it.it's hard to talk about heather having made a big jump, when the competition is very weak. the fact that she did not play against stanford makes me wonder if geno is feeling more confident about her.

I think she played great last year against Baylor and Griner. Am I wrong?

.-.
The problem is Stef has not made any real improvement over those last 16 games of last year. Heather is the one that made the big jump.

But the "improved" Heather is still light-years behind Stef. And how do we even know if Heather has truly improved until we see her play against good teams who have good centers? Geno watches her every day in practice and apparently didn't think she was good enough to use against Stanford.

Heather will not unseat Stef. However, Geno did say on on one of the Geno Shows that the coaches are having her focus on the things she does well and no worry about the other stuff. I see this as her focusing on her rebounding and defense. If she scores, its a big plus.

If Heather can defend and stop Griner to give Stef a break then that is a major plus. If she can continue to stop or have shooters second guessing an inside shot in big games then that is a plus. if she can score a few points in the process and get fouled doing it, that would be a big plus.

I was thinking during Saturday's game that it's too bad Heather's time is running out. I wish the Heather we're seeing this year is the one that showed up in her freshman year.

Yeah stuff is starting to show in her game that would be great to have three more years to build on. But, the good news is there is movement this year and an increased level of on-court poise.

For Example, I doubt that she would have been able to complete this play after the initial tip....even last year. There was no hesitation or hitch this time.
It sounded like the crowd enjoyed it as much as I did.

Heather was surprisingly fast while dribbling for a big girl. Nicely done by her.
