Does this team have a run in them?

The Houston match up is a tough one assuming we beat USF. Houston is just a better team.
 
Never count yourself out. We may have a run here in Memphis. Hurley and his staff are outstanding motivators and coaches. The confidence level of this team, despite the record, is very high. There is an added resurgence having senior Jalen Adams back in the lineup and leading the team. There is some very good team chemistry here, and Hurley has them both believing in their efforts and their chances to win. GO Huskies!
 
I'd settle for a win today. If we could put some kind of scare into Houston tomorrow, that would be this team's version of a successful March run.

Reality can be a cruel mistress.

Hoping we win by 10+ today. Need as much confidence as possible going into Friday. I do think Jalen feels more comfortable in the point guard role, just a matter of if he got his jump shot back.

We were peaking vs Witchita when Al went down. Unfortunately we slipped and fell off the cliff.

We just beat USF (who possibly peaked vs us the first time around) without Jalen. USF had as bad a stretch as us in February.

No one gets hurt and we go 5-3 maybe 6-2 instead of 2-6 in the final 8.

with a reasonable amount of luck we’re 19-13 at this point.

Go Dogs.

-if Jalen didn’t miss all that time we’d be a 6-7 seed or
-if we lost on Sunday , we’d be the 10 seed - much better path
- losing AG a second time was a killer
If one of those three things doesn’t happen, I wud really really like our chances. All three happened. Just how it’s been going lately.
 
For those wishing we were on the non-Houston side of the bracket, to me it really doesn’t matter. We don’t go anywhere unless we win the whole damn thing. I’d rather play them (relatively) rested early in the tournament than in the finals when we may be a bit more gassed with our lack of depth. We’re going to have to beat them one way or another so it doesn’t matter if they are game 2 or game 4 in my opinion.

Agreed, first game of the tournament for them maybe they come out cold from 3. Either way still need to just win the games who cares against who.

What is the point in being a fan if you don't have hope?

I think they win today, and make it close tomorrow. I doubt that gets us to the NIT, which is what I really want for this team.

So because I don’t think we’ll make a run there is no point being a fan? Incredible. Sure we might beat USF then what we get Houston.
 
Is ESPN streaming the game on its app? If not, any other streams out there?

Edit: Yes, on the ESPN app. Hopefully, it's not blacked out come game time

No. I don't think we will win the tournament either. But I hope we do. If I didn't have at least hope, there would be no point.

Oh, I thought of resurrecting that with an extra salty description of Adams instead of Napier. Truth is, deep down I knew Bazz had it somewhere in him. Jalen doesn't. I fully expect him to disappear for a good long stretch of the next game or two, ending our season.
