Does DD Leaving Make It More Likely Boat Is Gone Too?

I'd love to see Boat come back, but if he decides to test the water, I hope that he doesn't decide to hire an agent until he's sure he's a first round pick.

There is no such thing as testing the waters anymore

People that think Boat can't improve his game with another year are pretty clueless. He just improved his game a ton in the last month. Running the team and being the man next year could improve his point guard game immensely.

I was wondering about that as I typed that post. So you either declare or not and that's it?

Just MHO, but I think Boat coming back and being THE man and starting PG will let him showcase his PG skills as the main leader of the team. It seems to me that would raise his stock higher. but whatever he does is right for him, and as a fan, I'll support him no matter what...

I mean technically you could declare right after your season ends and then withdraw by the NCAA's April 15th deadline(different than the NBA's 4/27 declaration deadline), but it would be pointless becauuse you wouldn't be able to workout for teams or anything like that and find out where you stand under the old rules. The best option under this crappy situation is to not say anything untl the NBA's 4/27 deadline while assessing where you stand after you get feedback, which is what Boat and DD did.

The NCAA moved the return to school date up to a week after the tournament and it has already passed (4/15). It used to coincided more closely with the NBA declare date, which this year is on Sunday.

We know they're close, and Boat has said something to the effect of "we came in together, we're going to go out together".

Does DD leaving UConn make it more likely that Boat does the same?
Apparently not...;)

From the Courant:
College players have until Sunday night to enter the draft. If they do not hire an agent, they can withdraw and return to school as late as June 16. The draft is June 26, and Napier is expected to go in the first round.

I have never seen another beat writer of any of the teams I follow submit articles/blog entries with more factual errors than Amore.
