I don't think anyone's blaming the DJ for anything, other than being annoying, and I don't think that blame is misdirected at all.

you need to re-read some of the posts

I went to the UM-Illinois game this year. Cold, and rained all day. Blow out, UM wins 45-0. 90,000 people in the stands at the end.

Not when I was there. Crowd started leaving with 8 minutes left.

I have this nagging sense of doom that the game doesn't get played in East Hartford. Hope not.

I feel it, too. A Michigan man selling out the program that signs his checks for the sake of the alma mater.

I've been to tons of Penn State games where the crowd starts to thin in the third quarter.

Forget the culture clash with Michigan, there is one between DJ Dog doo doo and 85% of the folks in the stands. .

If we didn't have the DJ half the stadium would be asleep and and wouldn't know when to cheer. I could give a if he stays or goes. If we were going bowling after an 8-4 season this discussion doesn't take place, IMHO.

I just wish they'd go back to cranking up a song when the players come on the field. The band thing doesn't work for me.

The Living on a Prayer thing caught me off guard last week. That was pretty cool. That needs to continue.

By the way, Michigan fans. Do you really think if the DJ was not there they'd think any differently about us? Their bathrooms are bigger than our stadium. They will pump their chests and move on. We will be an after thought a week after they come in and humiliate us.

Though I want in on record that I think we will win.

Having been to Michigan Stadium, our restroom facilities are far greater than theirs.

I don't know, Butch. I could come up with a pretty long list of gameday complaints before I would attack Joey. The Franchize shows up for every game, stays till the end, tries to motivate the students and fans, posts on the boneyard, and goes to away games too! Brings a hell of a lot more to the table then half the posters here.

I kind of like the idea of having a DJ ... it's almost corny enough to be cool ... like Brass Bonanza cool.

You want to not embarrass ourselves when Michigan visits? Tell the band director to not choose "The State of Massachusetts" for the half time show ...

If people want to criticize Warde for anything, hiring DJ Dogpound should be at the top of the list.

By far his biggest failure as an AD so far.

We can tell them their own alum did it. Perfect. I don't doubt DJ Dogpound's fanhood. He managed to turn our stadium into a "club". We're coming out more "Jersey Shore" than New Jersey.

Speaking of New Jersey, Bon Jovi sucks.

Until "adjustments" are made, the only time the crowd will get pumped up is when the DJ finds the right track at the right moment.

Let him stay

Shouldn't we be creating our own traditions instead of copying others. Have no issues with the DJ if the majority of fans who go to the game are cool with it. I don't mind it myself.

I hate that DJ shiite, it's so damned contrived and corny. (plus he sounds like a shrieking unintelligible chick when he's really wound up). College games are about cheers and the band. Leave the DJ stuff to the pros.

Having been to the big house, our stadium's nicer, just a whole lot smaller.
They basically allow each fan 3/4s of a seat. Unbelievably uncomfortable.

Since we don't sell games out, we have plenty of room to stretch our legs and elbows. If we ever actually sold 40,000, we'd be just as uncomfortable.

Yes, I've been to the Big House...more than once.

Nope. The width of the benches is fine and I would know. They only problem I ever had came when a couple of knobs tried to squeeze an extra person in.

DJ Dogpound, if we're stuck with you, this is better than Bon Jovi. And they are from Connecticut.

There was not one change made to our craptastic game day experience. I at least expected Warde to make changes there but it was the same DJ blitz, commercial overload, Kisscam crap.

We have a great band. It needs to have a signature first down tune (like USC's) and be allowed to play more during breaks. And DJ Joey needs to go

What are you looking for? What's more important, "game-day experience" or game?

If we move the game to the Meadowlands we can get the NY exposure for Uconn and give our esteemed DJ a much deserved sabbatical. This is called killing two birds with one stone.
Give the Meadowland's thing a rest already. Not gonna happen. Just do your part and fill a seat at the Rent. That's all you can do. That's all any of us can do to help this program.

They play music other than the school band at other college games I assume. That is what the DJ is doing only he is asking the comatose to make some noise beforehand. If you want to change things then have all the student buses available for a return trip to Storrs show up half way through the 4th quarter. No leaving early BS. You go you stay.

Find it funny the state is "hurting" for money but the DJ is worth paying? Ha Warde's an jackass. Paying this dude to do something that half the people dont like, and our band can do. DJ Joey the Jerk*ff has to be related to Daniel Malloy or Susan Herbst
