Most of the discussion regarding high school rankings comes from hoopgurlz (ESPN), who has Gandy at #75 (they also have Kelis at #25). But another service has them both ranked a fair bit differently, especially Gandy.

ASGR (All Star Girls report) has Gandy at #31 and Kelis at #18. Hmm. I like ASGR much better! LOL Add in Quinones, who several of us believe would be at least top 10 if not top 5 were she rated, and it's really quite an impressive class!!

ASGR always seems to have the most favorable rating of, Uconn recruits but thy shorted Gandy one inch on height

Aren't there other sites out there as well that rank high school players? I think there is one called "Prep Girls Hoops" or "Hoop Prep Girls Ballers"

ASGR is based in the East, Atlanta I think. Gandy is in NJ so ASGR had more opportunities to see her. Last I knew, HoopGurlz was more West Coast people

I like the ranking for Kelis a lot better here. No way she wasn't top 20 after leading her team to winning the Chipotle Nationals and that elite performance at OT Select.

I think Kelis has taken a big step up this season. She is going to be big at UConn! You heard it here first!

:)

My policy is to throw out the rankings and wait till you see the players actually play at the collegiate level.........you're guaranteed surprises both positive and negative....
Just stop with this logical stuff, it makes too much sense. It's easier to just assume that if a kid is ranked #3 or #5 or #9 that it means they're going to be great. And then when they turn out not to be and only play 6 mpg, either deny it and say they are really potential AAs or whine and claim that the coaching staff isn't giving them a chance or developing them properly to support your assumption. ;)

Max Preps.
MaxPreps does not explicitly publish an official ranking of individual high school girls' basketball players. However, MaxPreps.com does provide national and state-level stat leaderboards for various categories like points per game, assists per game, and rebounds per game. These stat leaders can be a good indicator of individual performance.

I found this when i tried to look up MaxPreps individual player rankings. They do have rankings, but it's for teams, even state by state team rankings. Just not individual player rankings. I checked Prepgirls, but they only seem to rank them state by state. I did find 247sports has a ranking system...

Kelis is #18 per 247sports and Gandy is #77...

Anyway I know we can usually take these rankings with a grain of salt, but on the flip side, most of the higher ranked recruits do fairly well in college. with numerous services getting to see these kids and rank them, it's a good starting point, and certainly something for fans to talk about.

On3: Fisher - #17, Malou-Mamel - Outside Top75
ProspectsNation: Fisher - #22, Malou-Mamel - not in database
BluestarBB: Fisher - #15, Malou-Mamel - #43

But like others are saying, it's a crapshoot. BlueStar had DeBerry #4, Poffenbarger #11, Ziebell #2, Sarah Strong #9, Aaliah Edwards #300 (though this one is probably just a late addition). They also had Piath Gabriel ranked somewhat similar to Gandy.

Blue Star is based in Philly

No logic here, please under-rate our recruits. Be surprised when the Husky kicks your butt. There is one basic factor in why our players kick butt. Geno and co. The guy knows what he's doing. He knows how and who to recruit. While he doesn't get everyone he targets, he gets by with enough recruits to be bad for basketball.
