seemed like he had acouple of lobs and one nice fastbreak.

it seemed like he was sitting there most of the night with limited movement

In the Big East he has put up good numbers for a FR. People are being too hard on him, especially when the team lacks leadership. He is a very coachable kid - right now too nice - but JC will take care of that when he gets back.

Coachable? Yes but quick learner? Not sure................great kid....hell yeah! Love the kid.........needs to stay though these numbers are flawed as husky99 saw he's clueless at times and plays too lacadaisacal........but when he wants to the greatness is ridiculous......need 30-35 of that out of him and he will be a monster...need him to hedge and be in a hurry to get back to his guy instead of taking his time.......man if he only knew.......he will though and I hope when he puts it all together he's still in the National Flag Blue!!

good breakdown, agree 100%. it seems that he learned bad habits in high school ... he was so much bigger, faster and talented , he did not have to rush back to his guy.

UConn website says 15 pts and 13 rebounds. I swear I heard the announcer say 17.

I thought he played a very effective game...what could have been better: 1)a better box out on Melo would have meant an over the back call and no put-back dunk
3) when catching the ball in the lane with a defender behind you, don't just throw the ball in the direction of the backboard...if you don't have a shot, pass it back out!

He was effective for parts of the game, but not consistently. He got out hustled in the first half badly.

People love to kill Rudy Gay but Drummond is on the same page as him. Huge expectations and no way to live up to them. I don't know where I'm going with this because i'm spent and a little buzzed still but there is no way for Andre to live up to the hype he came in with. He will go pro before he can make a difference because the $$$$$$ is there

Not sure what you guys were watching...I thought Drummond played very well. In the second half he was an absolute monster. He tried to block and alter every shot, he grabbed every rebound, and he tried to dunk everything. It wasn't a "quiet" 17 and 14 by any means...he dominated that game at times.

He seems to rise to the level of his competition. This is two games now that he's gotten the better of Fab Melo (although Melo beat him on the last play), but yet he disappeared against Marquette's frontline.

I thought he was a monster in the 2nd half too, he was phenomenal down the stretch. I also fear we won't see his true potential until he's wearing another uniform.

I don't understand why people are blaming Drummond for that Melo put back. Drummond went for the block. No way could he had blocked Melo out. Roscoe on the other hand could have put a body on him but he was ball watching and thinking about going for the block too.

Maybe his rebounds were 'quiet,' but his dunks (pts) weren't. That putback to tie the game with 40 seconds to go was huuuge.

Wrong on that one Warrior sorry, watched it over on rewind.......he just didn't do his job and was outfought for the rebound, if he even nudged Fab the rebound was his but he was flatfooted and lazy thinking somewhere between going to block and also just jumping to the ball rather than blocking out. He's not the only big who doesn't box let's be honest but at crunchtime just do your job..............he was great again for a 12-15 minutes stretch but virtually invisible in the 1sthalf minus a couple alley oops!! He can be so good but he needs to want to cut hard, move hard and fast rather than live standing on the baseline waiting for an alley oop..........

I think so much was expected of Andre. I myself was totally surprised of how limited his game was when he got here. Offensively I question if he will ever be great but he will be able to rebound and defend on the next level.

No he was guarding who ever was driving himself. They went up and he jumped to try and block it. He was nowhere in position to box out Melo because he wasn't even guarding him. Watch it over and Roscoe was guarding Melo but floated over to try and help Drummond with the block and left Fab by himself.

I am usually the one complaining about not boxing out - but in this case he went to guard the man with the ball who had penetrated for an easy shot - that left Melo open - but the problem was no rotation; quite frankly.

Sorry like to agree not close....he was standing right next to Melo and had the opportunity to box out...he was there didn't do it........by no means a knock on Andre as noone boxes out as I said........but he was there!!! Never got off his feet...........

Yeah, if Andre could show a sustained focus and intensity, he would put up unbelievable numbers. What drives me nuts (more than usual) is the way that he will be about 10 feet from the basket and one of our players shoots the ball. Andre stands there and watches it. He makes no move to go to the basket to rebound. He does this over and over again. If he quickly went toward the basket, he could get a LOT of additional boards with his size and jumping ability. I'm not talking about crashing and going over the back, just get in there and fight for the ball.

One more thing. When he received passes inside the zone, he usually just passed it right back out without looking if anyone was open or if he could get to the basket. There were times when he could have taken a dribble or two and been at the basket. I wish he would forget jumpshooting for now and look to drive and dunk when open. He could have put a lot more pressure on Melo, maybe drew some fouls.
