I agree with that.

Tangible results. There is plenty, PLENTY Of tanglible results that the players are improving both individually and as a team in performing their players role. They are a better blocking and tackling team than they were to start the season. There are far less tangible results, that the coaching staff is also developing in their role of developing entire game plans and developing a consistent reliable offensive scheme and attack, and basically putting the players in the best position to succeed.

Bringing up the conditioning of the players and the state of program in the past, while certainly a marker of progress - does nothing to address the actual issues moving forward.

Just a mistake by a new head coach in the press, that's all. The guy is learning on the job too. You would hope that all the things discussed here, have been addressed behind closed doors, and there is a plan in place to change things and get it all corrected. But for now, I have no problem with the guy remaining consistent to the plan he's had for this season, because there had to be some rationale balancing short term and long term goals for what the coaching staff has been doing. Short term goals didn't work out -as far as a bowl game, but in reality - we made it 2 weeks further this year than last year, before eliminating that goal - so there is progress. Long term goals, should still be in place, and working toward them.

If the guy does troll this website, Chin Diesel - the advice you have written is pretty damn good.
