Our priority 2022 recruits have consistently been outperforming higher ranked peers this week. Really impressive scouting by our staff
You can knock some of his in game coaching decisions/style of play (which I think will improve next season & beyond) but Hurley has a serious eye for talent. Even guys they’ve missed or passed on like Bones Hyland, Kofi, Precious etc have panned out very well. Anglin and Floyd feel like they could end up being steals, Anglin just keeps producing. Give me a guy like that anyday over the hyped recruits that often don’t produce at the next level.

I like the kid as I love competitive players. I just don’t think an undersized shooting specialist projects well in college. He won’t have any space. Needs to develop a better arsenal of space creating moves. Shot fakes, pass fakes, pull ups.

How much of this is not liking Anglin and how much is you thinking Starling is a star?

I see him as just the opposite. He creates shots in a lot of different ways. He’s good off the dribble, his catch and shoot speed is outrageous and his pull up jumper is money. The pull-up jumper alone is unguardable.

I thought Starling was the better option until this week.
.
24% vs 49% from deep.
2.4/3.4 vs 3.2/1.5 A:TO.

Anglin is the better player despite being 3 inches shorter. I still value size and would really love either, but it isn't nearly as cut and dry as I thought a month ago. That kind of shooting makes the entire team better.

Imagine Bouk this year if you parked a Hawkins, Karaban and Anglin on the floor with him? You either guard bouk 1v1 or give up to a 40% shooter from deep. Shooting makes the game SO MUCH easier when stars come along. I'm hoping that Hawkins can be that guy next.

Have to imagine he has a rankings bump in his future after his performance recently, no?

Maybe Floyd and Karaban, too. I was really impressed with the three of them from what I saw. It’s been stated before, especially by @husky429, but I love the shift in the player we are now recruiting. Players with strengths to compliment each other on a championship roster, rather than focusing predominantly on athleticism.

Denver's been the best shooting player from 3 for all of Peach Jam. Of people with 50 attempts or more, he's got the best 3pt%. We need to lock him down

Once they update with his latest game he'll be at 51% fron 3 in 10 games. On 6.5 attempts per game. Makes off the catch, dribble, transition. Anything. He is a ridiculously talented shooter. It's stupid how pure a shot he has. I doubt there's a better 3 point shooter in this class.

We got a thumbs up on him, two '22 we want will be joining up soon.
