Time for me to hit the whiskey, folks. This one was a tough one for me to swallow. I'll return tomorrow...
Our defense certainly lost that game, agree on that. The reality is that he does enough to win games. The defense lost this one. Anyone who thinks differently is insane.
There's a difference between running the ball first and ten at the forty and first and goal at the two.Didn't he get roasted last week for running too much and being too conservative at the end of the Syracuse game??? He got absolutely killed for that.
I mean, we can't have it both ways, dude...
And yet you're stuck blaming the OC in a game where we all know the defense lost it. Cool... back to the whiskey for me...The reality is that he does enough to win games. The defense lost this one. Anyone who thinks differently is insane.

Regardless, Joe got to make easy throws every D1 QB is capable of.The reality is that he does enough to win games. The defense lost this one. Anyone who thinks differently is insane.
We just spent the whole game making things too difficult for ourselves. Staff and players alikeJust run a QB keeper on 4th and short. Tush push. Anything. So stupid.
That’s their backup, QB1 gout hurt in their opener.This. This isn't OC's fault. The play call was correct. Joe simply could not make the easy throw.
Delaware, another FCS program just last year, has a QB light years better than Joe
It is what it is.
More than one thing can be true at the same time. Sammis had a bad day as playcaller and the defense sucksAnd yet you're stuck blaming the OC in a game where we all know the defense lost it. Cool... back to the whiskey for me...
And zero touchMove on from Fagnano. Need a mobile QB see what Evers can do and if he is not the answer then you know for next year. On the fourth and 2, if he makes a decent pass to the receiver it's a first down, game over. OT, if he leads the TE he walks into end zone. Throws it behind him. He has no accuracy and no mobility
I know. Their backup is light years better than Joe. The kid makes good throws that's catchable. Joe made some good throws, but he choked big time when it mattered.Th

Good points - Mora has little margin of error and sadly he can't work with that reality.

I’m not optimistic about the rest of the season but it’s not because of Fagnano. He’s not great but, at this point, I think he’s probably the best QB Mora’s had on Uconn’s roster since he’s been here. He’s a decent passer and I think the staff trusts and values that Joe’s poised enough to not going to commit big turnovers by forcing bad throws into coverage because he rarely does.I could say the same to you. The defense was the biggest culprit, but you should face facts and realize Fagnano misses too many easy throws when they matter. In 2 crucial situations he threw behind the TE, although on the 2nd one Honig/Hansen still should've caught it.
Ask yourself this: on 3rd and 2 why did Delaware have 9 men in the box to sell out and stop the run and Sammis still stuck with the run with no option to audible and go to a pass play? Because Sammis had no confidence Fagnano can make the simple pass at a crucial moment.

All of his teams have been undisciplined. The praise that's heaped on Mora around here doesn't match up with the on-field product.
To put it mildly, this is not a well coached team.
I'm laughing at everyone who suggests Joe should sit in favor of Evers. Evers would be lucky to even get to the three yard line.
You have Cam and Rosa. You run. Nine men in the box? You only need one hole.
