Really interested to see Dayton/Marquette this weekend.

...
Me,too, considering I was there in person in Maui for UConn's game against Dayton. My lasting memory was seeing UConn can get run out of the gym against Dayton and their fan section being really loud as Santos was pumping up their crowd while the UConn section was hushed. The entire Maui trip was humbling considering my last game to see in person before Maui was here in Boston when UConn demolished Illinois in the Elite 8 and 90% of the fans were UConn fans cheering and coronating UConn as they were cutting down the nets.
Memphis, another team that beat UConn on Maui, is playing now.

Did you guys see the out of bounds play by Memphis with 1 min left in OT? It was very similar to the play UConn runs where they pass cross court to the center. It resulted in a made 3 by Rogers (maybe Hunter).

Memphis fortunate that Hunter(Clemson) missed that, they gave him a wide open walk-in 3

.-.
Hardaway let Clemson shoot a 3 with about 10 seconds left up 85-82. I agree with the decision, because Clemson was expecting the foul and the 3 attempt was really more of a floater. Low percentage shot that Clemson missed.

Under about 8 seconds, I like the foul. Over 10 seconds, just play D.

Memphis beat us and MSU, then lost to Arkansas St, and now beat Clemson on the road. Somehow that is not surprising at all with that team. High highs and low lows

Haggerty with head snap motion. Great player that does that move all the time.
Great resume building win for Memphis. Memphis defeated Clemson something Kentucky couldn't do. It was the ACC's only win vs the SEC ( maybe there was another one, I am not sure off the top of my head).

Big win for Penny & Memphis, hopefully they don't flop in AAC play again, Haggarty and Hunter alone should be enough to run through that conference

He was wide open, it was a great shot and bad defense by Memphis
He was racing and trying to come to a stop on a dime and launch a 3. That is a low percentage shot for the best 3 point shooters.

Stop it, he was not racing and great shooters hit that shot in their sleep. You watched Cam not get picked up in transition and hit that shot multiple times last year, the one against Marquette when he got T'd up afterwards comes to mind.

So many Boneyard posters have their entire identity on this board invested in Penny is the worst coach in basketball history. Those posters are idiots. Don't be one of those posters.

Penny made the right decision not to foul.

Where did you see me mention anything about not fouling, I said it was bad defense not picking him up. I grew up a Penny fan and I'm rooting for him to do well. You gotta stop posting while high, it leads to arguing strawmen and making bad faith arguments, put that stuff down.

Purdue and A&M is pretty entertaining - A&M has surged up by 9, but Braden Smith is really good - we did a good job on him last year. Kaufman-Renn is getting doubled a lot - averaging 19 a game. He actually posted up on AK for the first points of the game last year and they never went to it again. I’ve always kind of felt like relentlessly force feeding Edey might have cost them their best chance - largely since Edey went cold during the middle of the game and they had no answers. Plus he honestly put no effort into the defensive end - we all took turns scoring on him. If he wasn’t considered so irreplaceable that he couldn’t risk a foul, they might have been able to deny us some of those 44 paint points.

Woodson is one of the more obviously stupid hires by a major program that I can remember. When has a mediocre, over-the-hill former NBA Head Coach been successful at a major college program as a first time college coach? I could see an A10 or MWC program hiring him, or even a low level major like Minnesota or Providence, but Indiana? How did they think this was going to turn out?
Yeah I didn't understand Indiana hiring him at all. Indiana is still a big brand in basketball even though they are living more on past glory. Surely with the money they have and the brand and prestige they have, they could have done a more thorough and exhausting search.

Still surprising that OSU rolled with Diebler with as big as their brand is
