99% of this fanbase thanks you for your years here and winning a ship and all the good times you gave this school. we also wish you the best this year at mizzu and hope that you work hard and improve as a player and as a adult. but please, learn from your past issues. you need to be careful what you say in the media and also what your family and friends say in the media.

i read a comment about how u claim that this years mizzu team is better than the national ship team at uconn u were on. its all fun and good to have some fun but lets be real here, your slipping down the media path again, pick yourself up and carry yourself like a person that wants to get drafted and graduate school.

Sounds like he's just channeling Kobe. And he's probably right, for July. And his new coach blows.

I don't think these kids understand how good Kemba was.

Youin must be part of the 1%

Na. The kid was a beast in the Final Four, and I thank him for that. And I don't dislike him, misguided though he may be. But if his experience here as part of a National Championship team was so forgettable that he is already deeming Mizzou a better team, I'm not going out of my way to remember him either.

Mark me down for the 1%. I'm sick of AO jr and sr b**ching and whinning. He was a cancer last year, talked back to the coach, body language sucked, cried like a woman, complained about playing time and on and on. Good luck in Missouri

The kid is bitter, nothing more. He will grow out of it one day. Just imagine if he had stayed with all that bitterness. Sadly, he had to go.

Who cares what he says? Let him say stuff like this. Him and his teammates will have a chance to prove it. And the only way to do it is to win the whole thing. We'll be watching.

the point is he can have his fun and dream big with his team, be a bit bitter or whatever. keep that on your shoulder. he only has 1 year of school left in his career and so as a fan i hope he can grow up a bit more both on and off the court. not letting the media bait you and keeping your social media stuff under control would be a good start for him i think. i want to see him succeed not fail. i hope he learned from the past year off the court issue wise, but to me this first glimpse of chat makes me think he didn't.

I hope Mizzou fans enjoy watching a guy with the body of Lebron James and the hands of Hasheem Thabeet miss layups like Shaq missed free throws.

Alex Oriakhi can go himself.

Seriously, I hope he stays healthy and lives a decent life, gets drafted, whatever. He was so frustrating to watch, to read on twitter, etc. I get it, I'm just one 6'0 white guy husky fan and what I think really isn't important, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend like I want him to win another national championship or be any less frustrating of a player at Mizzou. I was sad when Roscoe left, ambivalent when Darius Smith left, confused when Ajou Ajou Majok left, but I was pissed when Oriakhi left.

Count me in that 1%.

(Easter Egg: If you google Ajou Deng, a picture of Stanley Robinson comes up.)

Dear Alex,

I have forgotten what you look like, don't remember much about you and am puzzled that we have a thread where people are writing as if you're actually reading it.

Well, I guess, bye.

PS - Did you notice that Flo Rida's name is really just Florida with a space? I am so duck*ing mad he thought of that first - that would have been a kick-ass rap name for me. (Yours can be Miss Ouri. Get it?)

PPS - Seriously now, bye.

Am I the only one who finds it a bit ironic when HFD is lecturing people on keeping their social media stuff under control?

Now all he has to do is grow a unibrow and I'll hate him as much as Anthony Davis.

99%???? You can't possibly be serious. The guy is a mediocre big man whose game tanked in his last year here despite being made captain. If he thinks he is getting drafted the other guy in the group who believes that is his father. And he caps off his less than memorable career not by staying loyal to the program that gave him a shot and got him a ring but by jumping ship. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Alex............

Man, did he really say that? It's fairly clear that the Oriakhi family wasn't exactly blessed with the maturity gene. I will appreciate the kid for what he brought for the one year, and at times seemed to have fun. But I'm not sure I'll miss the stone hands, dropped shoulders and pouting after every call. From a character stand point, he's not someone I think anyone really enjoyed watching. When the going get's tough, Alex......pouts. We'll probably see the Mizzou fan board flame up for all the same reasons. That being said, good luck AO.

And our team last year was (thank god we can finally start to say "last year"), on paper, way better than the 'ship team too, and how'd that work out? Oh yeah, that's right, a large factor was someone complaining on twitter and letting his idiot father get involved
