I get the impression the JC really likes Giffey's defense, and DD seems to need consistent minutes to be effective. He doesn't seem like the kind of player that's gonna light it up immediatly after getting off the bench.

I also think DD is almost to weak to play right now and needs more time to bulk up before he can be a big time contributor.

I'm glad the bar is set really low right now for DD. The expectations were way too high for Bazz, Lamb, Oriakhi, Smith returning. Sometimes, that one person can make the team complete. DD will represent next year and the children will be in awe.

I think DD will be very good and soon. Actually with the way Alex rebounds and some others I believe he should have more time because he can score it alittle. Time is on his side.....he needs some size and he'll be fine!!!!

Isn't he the same height as AO? Maybe he's an inch or 2 shorter, but at least he can jump. At times I feel like I'd rather see him in there fighting for rebounds, but I suppose he'd be easier to muscle out of the way than AO. Not that AO has been putting up a whole lot of resistance underneath the basket himself lately.

Quick answer: He's slow. I like DD, but he just isnt fast at all, therefore he cant guard and cant put it on the floor and go by anyone.

Not saying he cant be effective. Denham Brown wasnt particularly fast, but DD's game isnt predicated on creating his own offense. He seems to be a guy that needs sets run for him to be effective and right now hes obv not a focal point in our offense. Hopefully in the future we can run some plays for him as he looks like he can score.
