The line from the article that really intrigued me: Garrett Anderson played one play at tailback and continued to work with the running backs in practice.
This has already been mentioned in other threads but hasn't gotten the attention it deserves. Clearly this is going to be a set-up for a trick FB passing play, right?
"Led by these seniors, they're really focused on getting to a bowl," sophomore tight end Tommy Myers said. "We know we have to bring it to practice if you want to have a chance in the game, so I think they brought the energy and everyone has followed. It's been good. South Florida was a wake-up call for us. Going to Cincinnati was tough; they were a very tough opponent, and after that it was just 'OK, let's go, let's just come to work,' and sure enough it paid off."
