Looking for Geno’s but it was an away game. I’m not sure who might have recorded the UConn presser. Anyway, anyone who’s criticized Geno for harsh words after a loss should listen to Dawn here. Maybe it’s a Philly thing

I don't know what she says to her team at practice and at halftime. I only see her during these pressers. Dawn says the right things. I love hearing her say that Sarah is a difference maker. I think I like her and I know she has deep respect for Geno. She is the Top Dawg now. I hope she can handle that it doesn't last.

Woof!!!

SC has spent many seasons riding the backs of 2/3 bigs, who were also very good. W/out those special players, we'll see how dominant this program remains. Today's game indicated that UConn may have something to say about SC's future.

I agree with Dawn's statement: "THEY HAD THEIR WAY WITH US"
Dawn was asked about her team's "EFFORT". She responded: " This
is a higher education campus... (the team's effort was) "F".
I did not agree with one of Pao Pao's post game presser's
comments: "IT ( the loss ) was Self Inflicted ". ???

Certainly. She saw the defensive breakdowns and missed shots and as a player, her job is to believe that if she plays better she can eliminate those problems. Dawn wants her players to believe they control their own futures so what Paopao said is correct, from her point of view.

What else is she going to say. She's one of the team's leaders and surely is NOT going to say they are the better team and a potential rematch will go the exact same way. No coach or player in their right mind is going to say it wasn't at least part self inflicted. Otherwise, what's the point of playing the games in the future if you meet in the tourney. You need to give the team a sense that there are things they can fix (and when you lose by almost 30) a lot of things you can fix to ensure a different outcome in the future. Otherwise, you have the lost the mental battle, you're in trouble.

Explain please
I think before you get into your team you should offer congrats to the other team. There didn’t seem much recognition of the opponent.

Also thought her other comments were less than insightful. Reporters asked some good Qs about ‘how do you bounce back?’, and didn’t get much response.

No issue with criticism of her team. She should be pissed.

You get your hat handed to you, you are shocked, dismayed and embarrassed. What would you say? Fairly mundane, compared to a lot of pressers. Dawn wasn't much different than she is in most pressers. She is not the most captivating speaker. Upset Dawn didn't gush over our team, it looked like she was in shock. looked like she wanted to be anywhere else at the time. Typical Dawn.
