Wasn't able to watch the game tonight but just caught the highlights. The Daniels missed dunk was one of he most embarrassing misses I've ever seen. Wide open dunk, he kicks his legs out for style points and he gets rejected by the rim falls on his butt and the ball bounces off of him and out of bounds. He's been slumping for a while hope this only hurt his ego for about 5 seconds.

Agreed. However, he did redeem himself with a big block/tie up with 30 seconds left, clinging to a 4 pt lead. The Rutgers player had inside position. Had he scored, we would have been up 2, facing a tough out of bounds situation. Even if we got it inbounds, we were still in the 1 and 1. So evidently he shrugged it off fine. But yea, SportsCenter had a special Not Top 10 highlight, stating it was too good to wait for Friday.

He got whacked in the chest while he was in the air.

I almost fell off the chair when he made the local cbs nightly news' top 5 play at #2 - in the bay area!

That missed dunk will be with Daniels forever. It wasn't even like he didn't get the ball over the top of the rim. The top half of the ball got rejected by the bottom of the rim, while Daniels was at the top of his jump. That was brutal. 25 years from now, Deandre will be sitting around at Thanksgiving, and one of his kids or a nephew or someone will pull up the missed dunk on Youtube.

I'm just glad he didn't get hurt. That was scary real time.

Glad that he was ok after that. I had some scary visions at that time of the fall.

Someone needs to rewind the Daniels dunk attempt.

A Rutgers player jammed his chest while he was up in the air. I saw him lose his height after the hand jammed him.

I just went to Watch ESPN and rewatched the dunk attempt at 9:50 of the second half.

Daniels was clearly fouled. It was the only reason he missed the dunk.

then he should have tried to lay it up. He went for the dunk, he didn't get the dunk.

He was fouled. A pretty hard foul too.
I watched the reply a couple times and I didn't see a foul. Regardless, I think he should have finished.

Did you rewatch just ow looking for the foul? Or were you going off memory?

It was obvious. Look at it from the first shot (i.e. camera view, side of the court). He gets clipped hard and then drops.

You can't finish when you're fouled hard.

Yeah I looked at the reply a few times, but to me it didn't look that hard. I think if DD weighed another 20lbs it would have been a dunk.

You could see him go down immediately after he was hit. He was in the air, clipped, and then he lost a foot off his jump.
