Dangerfield 29 points

I think Crystal received more high level coaching than any women's collegiate player ever. We've seen this photo hundreds of times, and her reaction was good. She became a great floor leader. And that will continue

What a tremendous game for her. Too bad Minny lost. They missed Sylvia. Still, not sure they would have won with her. Augustus and Williams were real difference makers off the bench, and LA shot a crazy 59% from 3.

Will be really interesting to see who sits when Simms comes back. Why was she suspended?

And again, it should be pointed out how well Crystal played in all 3 of the top games we lost SC, Baylor and OR. In particular, her 3pt shooting in those games was 11-21. No fear. We are painfully aware that was not the case for all our Huskies.

Crystal was definitely the highlight of this game for me. Watching her blow by Williams over and over and over was super entertaining. Pretty sure that lit a "yeah well I can score too" fire under Riquina. :D

I hate this! I've had to miss all the games this week because of that storm! I still haven't got power yet. Glad to get all these nice updates. Thanks to all of you. I'll wat h the Linx game first when I get the power back on!

When did Syl get injured? How did Odysee get suspended?

Syl "tweeked" her calf in practice. Missed a few games intermittently. Odyssey Sims suspended 2 games for DUI last year

WOW! Looks like you can't be human and make a mistake, even from last year! Thanks 'eebmg' for the updates.

Most impressive is that she had a tough first half. 1-8 (0-3 from 3) in first half but did not lose confidence and started the 3Q comeback. And this is far from the first time she had a tough first half but starred in the 2nd half.

Ah those freshman. They start out slow but finally get it
If she could only put both halves together..... Maybe Geno could give her a call before the game! ☻

This was the 2nd game Syl missed due to the calf injury. She played the last game but missed the one prior to that. Before that, she had not missed a game since joining Minnesota. I believe she had the longest active streak at that point, at 150+ games.

Syl is sitting out because of a right calf strain. Sims had a DUI last year.

The game was an uphill battle all day, without Sylvia and with L.A. being on fire, but Minnesota made a nice push early in the 3rd period to take the lead, and Crystal was the catalyst. She missed some shots from the arc early i the game and had only 5 points, I believe, at halftime. Then, she decided to use her speed and break some ankles. She needs space to get her shot off, but her speed and change of direction get her that space.

At 12.6 ppg, she is now the 3rd leading scorer among rookies, behind only Carter and Ionescu. She is also 3rd in mpg (27.4), behind Allemand and Carter. Crystal is also shooting 90% (18-20) on FTs.

Dangerfield was stellar and a lot of fun to watch. I think she'd thrive as a SG, as she has a great 3pt shot, pull up jumper and drives to the basket well. Problem is she's only 5-5. I'm surprised she dropped to 16 in the draft and is getting far more PT than the #6 pick MHH, especially since Fowles has been out. Dangerfield looks like she's gonna stick and do quite well in the pros.
