Dan Hurley press conference

I have a raging hard on right now.

Enough already. Breaking the rules, is breaking the rules, especially in a contract that was written with "zero tolerance" in mind. Just because the violations will not be the death of the UConn program does not mean they aren't significant enough to fire the guy who was charged with preventing exactly that.
Please be specific of what you know as fact to be the violations
You seem to have a working knowledge of what was exactly found
All of us would love to know
If this is not the case, as you say, enough already

Acting like the Ollie era never happened. This is hilarious actually.

I thought about that but with pending litigation, I have a feeling that they were advised by council not to say anything about KO either positive or negative. Hurley did in a round about way by bringing up the 2014 NC and as I recall DB did too but it sounded like Ali as in Muhammad Ali, not Ollie.

Ended up off to the side by the players. No interaction with Dan Hurley, but ran into Calhoun and Bob Hurley Sr. funnily enough.

The champions center is awesome. Pristine. Cool opportunity.

One thing I noticed that wouldn’t show up on video was that Hurley was very buddy buddy with the players and Jeff Jacobs as well.

When he was speaking to the players and looking directly at them, he really had all of their attention. I think it was in that moment where Hurley truly owned the room.

Already working recruits?!?!?
6’4 G Taft School

Great on many levels to see this kid being recruited. This is the exact type of recruit KO routinely ignored, and the type of player we clearly need.

How did the players look? Most of the pictures they look like they were making a hostage tape.

Be honest Carl, it took you until the day he was fired.

No BS, I was down in Diaco before that but thought his contract prohibited UCONN from firing him so I was pushing for a name Offensive coordinator. Part of my problem was I got to know him on a personal basis and lost some objectivity because I was rooting for him. For that reason, its not always good for fathers to coach sons. The Navy game hit me like a dagger to my heart. At that point I got the feeling that this might be the beginning of the end. I was so excited when he got here. I read the two Hayden Fry books and believed Diaco was going to turn UCONN around like Fry did at Iowa.

I have a buddy that lives in Lincoln Nebraska and is a die hard Corn husker fan. Trust me, we have some interesting discussions.

College coaching sports at the D1 level is a tough business. The few fortunate ones that rise to the level of Diaco and Ollie must be willing to take the public scrutiny when things don't work out, as painful as that might be. At the same time, they are set for life and I can think of many more unfortunate people than them in the world to feel sorry for. I hope both men learned from their experiences at UCONN and like all of us improve their crafts as they move on to the next thing.

I will end this with a Hayden Fry quote from the books I read:

"We have to be realistic. If we don't win, life will continue."

Confident Carl adds, "Just not at UCONN!"
