Dan Hurley practices: This relentless pursuit

The Liam injury happened at just the wrong time. This not only stunted Liam's development, it also had a lot of secondary effects. Injuries always play a role. We will never know.
Doubt in the long run it altered the trajectory of the team that much. It was an awfully flawed team defensively.

Think Reed is in for a monster year. Mullins looks to be about instant offense as possible. Just hoping he can pick things up defensively as soon as possible (which shouldn’t be a worry with this staff).

Hope Silas can get adjusted to being a play creator more here than he was asked to at Georgia. He has a lot of mouths to feed. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an adjustment period for him figuring out how to get guys around him involved and finding his own. Smith is an ideal backup PG for two guard lineups with him to help with this in the meantime.

Continuing to root for Ross and Stew. Stew obviously brings more offensively, holding out hope Ross can step up as a defensive stopper and play finisher for us to get big minutes in that role during the season.

We really need another big wing to step up there between him and Stew to help give us that size advantage.

Solo is in for a big year regardless.
@HuskyWarrior611 , are ya back?

It absolutely did. They may have been flawed, defensively, but to overcome that flaw with more offense you needed Liam at his peak and after the injury, he never was.

Is that not total conjecture? No one knows his physical condition and he had his best game, all time game, two games back. I’d say the tape caught up with him more than anything. The tournament was 3 months after the injury and he had a great summer.
