Dan Hurley practices: This relentless pursuit

That was a strong finish by Silas.
Being the same size as Newton, I hope he can master drawing the foul like Newton did and up his FT attempts this year.

Tristen averaged 5.2 FTA per game his 5th year. Silas averaged 4.8 last season. I'd say there's a very good shot he can take drawing fouls to a new level--maybe even better than TN.

We still need Stewart and Ross become legit players or this whole thing is overrated. They need to step up.
I would say it is very important, but if Reed Jr becomes a beast auto double double, Mullins plays like I think he will. Demary Jr is TN 2.0, Alex just becomes Alex again with a bit more of an interior game with the new bulk, Solo continues to improve like I expect he will and Reibe and Furphy play better than freshman which I think they will and Smith be a tempo quicker as expected……I really think even if we don’t see the jumps we want from these loyal Huskies we will still be really good.

I appreciate the commitment from them but I am more excited to see how good Demary Jr is, Reed Jr owning the block, Alex hitting dagger threes and I will keep going back to Mullins…..I think he is going to be very good this year. And of course Solo becoming a 1st team all BE player.

We are better in every area we needed to get better in. Offensively I think we will be a juggernaut can we play top 20-30 defense for the whole year is the big question.

That was an AI generated Youtube cobbled together from other reports..maybe a good listen but clearly AI regurgitating others.
It's the content/message that I was interested in. It is in line with Torres recent post about Furphy and Reibe adding immense depth with some diverse talents to the 2025 Huskies.

Last year's team was exciting but ultimately flawed. The injuries to Hass and Liam also limited their ceiling.

The Liam injury happened at just the wrong time. This not only stunted Liam's development, it also had a lot of secondary effects. Injuries always play a role. We will never know.

Think Reed is in for a monster year. Mullins looks to be about instant offense as possible. Just hoping he can pick things up defensively as soon as possible (which shouldn’t be a worry with this staff).

Hope Silas can get adjusted to being a play creator more here than he was asked to at Georgia. He has a lot of mouths to feed. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an adjustment period for him figuring out how to get guys around him involved and finding his own. Smith is an ideal backup PG for two guard lineups with him to help with this in the meantime.

Continuing to root for Ross and Stew. Stew obviously brings more offensively, holding out hope Ross can step up as a defensive stopper and play finisher for us to get big minutes in that role during the season.

We really need another big wing to step up there between him and Stew to help give us that size advantage.

Solo is in for a big year regardless.

Doubt in the long run it altered the trajectory of the team that much. It was an awfully flawed team defensively.

@HuskyWarrior611 , are ya back?

It absolutely did. They may have been flawed, defensively, but to overcome that flaw with more offense you needed Liam at his peak and after the injury, he never was.

Is that not total conjecture? No one knows his physical condition and he had his best game, all time game, two games back. I’d say the tape caught up with him more than anything. The tournament was 3 months after the injury and he had a great summer.
