There is NO WAY the Mercury lose this game. I'll come back around later to take my bows. :p It's later, I'm back. They didn't lose!! The Mercury win by 18, 101-83. Pardon me while I take my "victory" lap. :D

Taurasi 10 pts, 5 ast
Bonner 7 pts, 2 reb

I'd wondered about Kaela Davis -- she's out with vertigo.

Dallas signed Maggie Lucas for the game. If they just need someone to hurl up bombs, fine. But I do wonder why on earth they haven't brought Chong back on.

The Curtain of Distraction. So lame. It was kinda funny and fresh for about half a season. They've since completely beaten the concept to death.

So where did Lucas come from? She seems like she's in game shape and has a couple buckets recently.

Entertaining half. The headline players are showing up big time for both teams so far.

53-49 Mercury leading

Good game with lots of scoring. It will take 100+ to get a W. Dallas is shooting 50%; Phoenix is shooting 64%.

I want the GOAT on my team. She has 16 points and 8 assists in 18 minutes.

She was with Atlanta earlier, not playing much.

I agree, she looked more like her senior year at Penn State than her last few in the W. I stand corrected on my post earlier in the thread. I've always liked Maggie's game, but didn't think it had translated well to the pros.

Several of those passes were outstanding. Great court vision. Obviously she's a play maker, #4 on the career assist list. But she's been on fire lately. Career high 14 assists a few games ago and then she hit the same mark again a game or two later.

Not mentioned here but Z was 3-3 with a 3pt shot . No rookie syndrome.

Dee will slice and dice the opponents in the World Cup. It's almost unfair. She was other-worldly in Rio and may be better now.

LeBron is watching and tweeting props to Diana.

7 points in 8 minutes is productive. She may be the best defensive matchup on Bonner.

The GOAT has 19 points and 11 assists in 21 minutes. As good as ever.

DT w/ a triple, this is about over. Lead up to 18.

Ditto. DWB has unlimited range.

Quoth Allie Quigley - "Because it’s like I said: She’ll get you from 30. And once 30 feet is in play…… it’s a whole new world. When DeWanna is on the floor, it’s all things possible."

Allie might have a future as an analyst. That article is already looking prophetic: " But if you’re looking for a sleeper?? Well, I’ll just say this: Only one team in the world can say they have the best shooter in the world. Only one team in the WNBA has Diana Taurasi."

3-3 tonight. She must have been working out with her old Germantown Academy teammate, Caroline Doty.

Maggie Lucas looking great 3-3 from 3pt land. She looks like she put on some good muscle.

Bonner and Taurasi are a combined 9-16 from the arc. Combine them with Griner, and this team is a tough out.

Phoenix is eating Dallas alive w/ offensive rebounding lately.

Talbot is making a nice contribution for the Merc. Not scoring a lot but doing other things.
