I just don't understand it. This is three straight years with absolutely no discernable ability to run a half-court offense.

.-.
Lamb forcing shots and soft play inside by UCONN. Good hands and strong hands are not a strong point of this team. They can't run anything offensively and getting behind every game and then having to fight back over and over drains a team and without depth we can't keep doing this.

This team is starting to push me to the point where I consider them to be hard to like. By this I mean that we always root for them, but some teams give you a reason to really like them while others are just difficult to like because they seem not to care.

Other than Drummond I'd offer anybody 20 bucks to tell me something to like about this team.

Agree, that 2005-06 team was more likable.

My reaction thus far...

never said it was. but If we win the national tittle i dc what our halfcourt offense is.

No, WhereistheDove right, the half-court offense was terrible last year. It just so happened UConn had Kemba, who ended up taking over in late shot clock situations. It also helped that Lamb emerged late last year. Bazz ain't Kemba and Lamb has regressed now that team's defenses are keying in on him. This is the result.

Calhoun has yet to instill this team with his toughness. Drummond really needs to stop smiling after he duck___ up.

So?!?!?!
So, it was a comment that we have not seen a legitimate half court offense in three years... I'm not downplaying a national championship, just pointing out that it wasn't won with one, just an amazing player who drove us to win despite that.

You guys are killing me with the negativity. They aren't nearly as bad as the doomsday, end of the world posts I'm seeing.

Shabazz has learned from Kemba with that step back fade away shot. It usually doesn't drop when he's dribbling for 20s though.

Your making my comment out to have a completely different meaning than what I actually wrote. You're taking it as an affront to last year's team. What I actually wrote is that I don't understand how we can not have one for three straight years.

There are alot of things to improve on but the biggest problem is the whole team is in a shooting funk.

I can't wait for Oriakhi to foul out. They'll be better off.

Sorry, I know Bazz loves it and it's worked for him in the past, but that reach around poke play is pure garbage defense. Apparently Lamb is starting to pick up it now. Boat does it too. Is it so hard to play straight up honest D!

Brando is a freaking idiot.
That was an obvious TN push before and they were sure it was AO.....I was about to smash the TV if they called it on AO.

This team, no character, no identity, no intangibles. Tennessee getting every loose ball, loose rebound. I'm starting to lose faith in this bunch coming together - it's one thing to be a bit misaligned on offense - that can sometimes take a little time. But it's another to just be chronically lacksadaisical. Coming off a bad home loss, you'd expect more on the intensity. They're so talented, so they'll be in it, but there is something so missing with the X factor/grit on this squad. You see a team like Cinci band together - this team just looks like it's ready for next season. There is not a player on this team playing above expectations.

It worked for Cincinnati, maybe someone needs to punch someone and get suspended to create an us vs. them mentality.
