At halftime

Rutgers 19
Syracuse 15

There are probably 300 people at the Carrier Dome. It must be painful.

I hope she gets that blasted win #900. I am tired of hearing about it. Though I will confess to taking pleasure in how long it is taking her to get there. Yes, I am evil tonight.

Another typical ugly as sin RU game. Low scoring. Players clobbering each other. Very few calls. Don't like the direction our game has taken. "Pretty" basketball is sadly in the rear view mirror.

They do - Manley Field House - but they moved all their games to the CarrierDome several years ago.

The women's team used to play at Manley Field House. I guess Q thinks of Manley as too small for his program. Or maybe he thinks forcing visiting teams to shoot in an empty dome is his team's best defender.

It's hideous: less than 10 minutes left, neither team has reached 30, and are a combined 11/20 from the line. Good luck, ACC and Big 10.

From Wiki - Looks like the option was taken away.

On September 26, 2007, ground was broken for the new Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center, which will house practice courts, weight rooms, locker rooms and offices for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. This will free up Manley Field House, which is the current practice facility for the teams. Additionally, for the 2007-2008 season, the women’s basketball team will play all of its home games in the Carrier Dome for the first time. With basketball out of Manley Field House, the arena will be converted into an indoor practice facility for football and men’s and women’s lacrosse.
Due to the climate of Syracuse, the University had lost a recruiting edge to other schools with newer football facilities. The field house will be retrofitted with Field Turf and will provide ample practice space for the outdoor teams, which usually fight for space (usually only half of a field) in the Carrier Dome in late-winter/early-spring when the basketball court is still set up. Full glass windows will be installed and the seating will be removed, creating room for nearly a full-sized football field. The entrance to the sports complex will be upgraded to create a sleek new look, joining the new basketball with the renovated field house and the Iocolano-Petty Football Complex.
On January 27, 2008, a temporary AstroTurf-like "carpet" was installed to provide immediate practice space for the outdoor teams until the permanent installation takes place.

I actually look forward to seeing Syracuse in action next year... they have some good young talent.

Pitt and Cinn are still on the schedule. Not gimmes for Rutgers, but they have a chance.

Woeful lack of scoring until the end.

Prediction: She'll get win #900 before loss #900. :)

846 watched this thrilling game. It's amazing that Q. can keep raising the level of talent of his team without any appreciation what-so-ever from the college community. And why do kids keep wanting to go to a team nobody cares about?

I believe Manley has been totally converted to indoor track and soccer.
