The reason I mentioned the euro move is that it is usually accompanied by a direction change. Imagine some player moving to a spot under the basket (away from the driver) and the driver changes direction to move into the defender.

I understand. A player can be moving and draw an offensive foul. What you would see with a Euro step likely is a defender squared up and in place and then he slides laterally, parallel to the movement of the offensive player and still draw the charge. It won't happen often, such is the nature of the play, but it can happen in theory.
